• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I wonder where do you find the latest version of the entertainment system software and what fixes/features was added in it ?

I spoke to Dealer and they told me they do not update software routinely during service appointments only if there some safety issue discovered, while Telluride itself seems to be able to do it from USB stick or other media.

[/QUOTEMost deaers won't update the entertainment software routinely, ony the ECU software. If you are having a problemthat requires an update to the entertainment system, then they will usually do it.

Thanks. But is there way to know if new software is available and what does it improve or you just should ask for update and hope it fixes your issue.

On Kia's website it does, look for map updates and it will have the latest maps and what it updates. They seem to tie the two together.

Can you be more specific where to look for updates?

TIA

At $145 - my maps will never get updated... I'll mount my zumo 590 which has free lifetime map updates, is more user friendly and allows custom routes to be imported.

I imagine many people will not spring for updating the maps at $150/year.

I would pay $30/year forever to keep updated maps just for the convenience. Being I typically own a car for 7+ years, they would get over $200 this way as opposed to $0. My bet is many others would do the same thing if they just made the price reasonable. Otherwise, once the maps age a bit, my iPhone does a better job.

I wait until there is a software upgrade with it that will effect me. They usually have a message there on the update page that tells you any upgrades this does to it.. it's not all maps
