Telluride "stock" window tint

This past weekend I test drove a black / butterscotch SX. The rear windows seemed fairly tinted. Is this to be expected for any Telluride or if I wanted that same look would it need to be tinted as an option from the dealer. Here's a pic (sorry I didn't grab any good ones that showed a profile.

The windows (except driver and passenger) come with a tint, though not dark. I actually saw this Telly at Browns. They had a white Nightfall SX also. Saw that they added a $10K admin/app fee. SMH! Told them that I would pass.

Yeah we were there on Sunday, its not even the Prestige option and they did want that 10K markup. Still, they gave me an unsupervised test drive, with the 3 yr old + car seat to boot. Before I found this forum I thought I might just bite the bullet and pay that markup but maybe there's hope yet for us

I ended up ordering from a dealer in NC at MSRP. There is also a dealer in Fallston, MD that will order and sale at MSRP as well - Jones Kia Bel Air. I visited their store and the salesmen were nice. Its a quick two hours north of here just outside of Baltimore. Good Luck! Lots of info on this site.

I ended up ordering from a dealer in NC at MSRP. There is also a dealer in Fallston, MD that will order and sale at MSRP as well - Jones Kia Bel Air. I visited their store and the salesmen were nice. Its a quick two hours north of here just outside of Baltimore. Good Luck! Lots of info on this site.

Thanks - Jones was closed by the time I got free time but they are my first call tomorrow. For your NC dealer, did you just do everything over phone and have them deliver? Are you getting one of their already incoming Telly's or is it a special order. Curious what wait time you are getting since I'll be in your position soon I think. Congrats btw. I was driving home from Maine the other day and saw an Everlasting Silver, nightfall edition and it looked amazing. Wife didn't like it tho so I'm branching out on my color options.

Unfortunately, I just ordered it this week. I have a 4 - 6 month wait. Everything was done via phone and email. I ordered a SX, Prestige, Nightfall.

Gotcha, thats not terrible I guess. I'm hoping I can get something close to what I want w/o doing a special order but who knows. I too want an SX Prestige, nightfall I could go either way. I'd take either tbh.

Im on the FB Telluride Buy/Sell group and there are dealers there that sell just as on here. Make sure you check out the Dealer Inventory threads. They usually will ship it to you when it comes in.

This is a photo of one fresh off the truck I snapped while mine was getting tire rotation at the dealer. All windows except front (passenger, driver) windows have a slight tint. Not sure what percentage it is, but yes they come standard like that.

[My Car is a 2001]

Guessing factory tints are either 50s or 35s max. Here's a good breakdown of the different shades. After I pickup my Telly, I'll be taking it to a local detailer for 15s all the way around (minus the windshield, obviously).

Each state will have its own regulations on what's permissible for front window tints so do keep that in mind

Thanks for the information. I have been dealing with another Hendrick location, spinning my wheels. It was to be the luck of the draw if what I wanted happened to be allocated to that dealer.
I just got off the phone with the Cary dealership and placed my order. Very professional. These forums can be very useful.
