If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Telluride "stock" window tint

🤖 AI Summary

The back windows meter around 30%.

I thought I read somewhere they were 35%, and I asked the dealer today, and that is what he said, but other posts say 24-28%.

I have no idea.

When mine comes, i will get the front to match the back, so they will tell me.

28% sounds about right, they said it was about 30%. I had it metered at the tint shop. I had 80% added to the back which got the windows down to around 20%. Didn't want to go too dark. You might want to consider a lighter tint on the back windows for UV and heat protection. Either way, having the front windows done really ads to the appearance of an already beautiful car! I went with 35% up front. Looks great. Llumar ceramic tint.

Can you share a pic of your Telly with 35s on the front. I’m debating going a bit darker so would love to see it

Don't you mean darker tint? (in total on top of factory).

I was not thinking of getting them to redo the back to make darker, but good suggestion.

I believe the factory darkness is tinted glass that is different than tint film. I do not think it provides much UV or heat resistance like ceramic tint does. I had 80% (almost clear) film added to the back windows and it doesn't make them too much darker, but should keep things cooler, and should better protect the interior/passengers. Here are some photos. 35% Llumar "Pinnacle" in front, 80% Llumar "Air 80 Blue" on top of factory windows in the rear.

That looks very nice, esspecally on the white, but I could not pull the trigger on white, I have always hated white cars (but that said this looks great)... I am more a dark color guy.

White with tint is on fire - but where we live, there's too much environmental fallout to own a white vehicle ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Environmental fallout?

Does anyone have experience with windshield tint? Texas heat is ridiculous and I'm planning on tinting my windshield.

more like experience in having it on your car. doesnt have to be your Telly. Thanks

15% 3M ceramic tint on the front and not sure what they used to blend colors on back. I like how it turned out.

Getting my Snow White Pearl tinted tomorrow. MIAKIA I really like the look of yours and will be shooting for something very similar. I am in Austin, TX so with the hot summers I will probably go as dark as legal on the fronts which appears to be 25%. I want the rears to be similar so I will ask what they suggest but my guess will be something in the 70%-80% range. They do also have a product for the front windshield which is called Air90 and blocks 30% of the heat even though it's 86% clear. Haven't decided if I am doing the front yet. I am looking at adding tint to the sunroofs as well.

i've not received my telly yet but planning on doing any lowest recommended limits on the Tint. Yes the TX heat is insane! The visor doesnt help much on most days down here. definitely will be looking to do something for the front. Will keep the Air90 in mind.

So, I'm getting a 2022 Kia Telluride, and am looking into having the windows tinted locally, without paying dealer price. I live on Fort Worth, Texas, and summers can be brutal, to say the least. In my latest research, I'm hearing that the stock tint is just as good, if you use an aluminum shade, and crack your windows about 1 half inch.
Prior to this latest comment, I'm hearing ceramic tint is best, but can be pricey. I'm also hearing the High Performance tint is nearly as good, with it and the ceramic being a 4% heat rejection difference. Of course, any windshield tinting would be different. One shop recommended I bring the car to him upon delivery, and have him look at it, suggesting what's best/what I want to pay for.
My biggest take is, I'm not looking for darkness and/or privacy. I'm a 66 year old married woman, not a 30 year old man trying to "look cool". I want excellent heat rejection and protection from the UV rays.

Any recommendations/info is greatly appreciated.
