Telluride sx lift and larger tires

Yes, lost ~ 2 MPG in city driving which I mostly do. Was averaging between 20-22. Now, depending on whether or not I'm in sports mode or not, I'm seeing around 18-20 MPG in city. Long drives also took a hit about 22-23 MPG now. Was easily getting 25+ before. Road noise levels are very acceptable with the Open Country A/T III.

It's a trade off that I'm willing to take for the versatility of driving in snow.
If I keep the AT tires I choose at 245/65R17 i think id get similar fuel economy as the original stock don't you think? I see some with specs at almost same weight.

Nope. The more aggressive tread pattern increases rolling resistance, and the lift kit will increase drag. You're going to see an MPG hit.

Anyone Plasti Dip their emblems? Looks super easy. I’d love to do the silver trim around the front grill. Thoughts?

Hello All. To reduce overall tire weight it was recommended to go WILDPEAK A/T TRAIL245 /65 R17 or WILDPEAK A/T TRAIL255 /65 R17. Any suggestions here?

Here’s the side profile I finally got around to taking a picture of the stance. Me personally I like it when the tire flares out just a little bit 😁🇺🇸.

Perfect. Did you put spacers? If so, from where did you get them from?

No spacers. Just the rim off set. “9 I believe mine are. 17” rim with 9 off set

Can anyone verify this setup will work with no issues on my 2021 Telluride LX AWD with 2" Truxxx lift? BLACK RHINO ARCHES 17X8 5-114.30 +30 and CONTINENTAL TERRAIN CONTACT A/T 255 /65 R17 110S SL BSW GM. Ultimately I came to this conclusion because I want the very best balance of all terrain tire with nice tire/wheel off road look, lighter overall tire weight (265/65/17 is about 5 lbs heavier per tire), and quietest all terrain tire on the market. Prove me wrong? Also, some new images of the Plasti-Dip job I just completed on some emblems. My color is glacial white pearl. Looks sweet aside from being dirty.. :-)

First off I don’t think you’ll ever find a quite all terrain tire. The reason is because width and tread pattern that are more aggressive, so in return sound will come with it. If you don’t want any sound don’t get All terrain tires. They do make tires that are close to a all terrain but don’t have the certification for snow that might be more your avenue. Me personally tho the look and functionality of a good all terrain is totally Worth it. The sound on my 265/65/17 is very little and I can hardly hear it. Now if you put 33” or bigger you are definitely going to hear a howl . I had Chevy with 33/12.5/15 with mud terrain and they were loud suckers Probably if I could put a number on it the the telluride would be a 2/10 on sound and my old truck was like a 7 or 8/10 . Big difference once you get more surface area touching the pavement.

Just got the 2” lift from Truxxx done on my new 2021 AWD Telluride and it rides, looks and feels great! No change in ride. Everything is good but the shop who did the lift did put this note on the final invoice: “We noticed that the ABS is very sensitive in this vehicle and may occasionally activate when turning sharp into or out of the driveway. If the problem persists customer may have to have the dealership reflash/reset the stearing angle. We will reimburse the cost”. Any thought/comments/experience with this? Also, as you can see from pictures I still have the stock tires and wheels. Adding the bigger 265 tires next week with more pictures.

Looks great my friend. About the ABS and backing out of the driveway. I have not had a problem with anything other then I had to do some stuff to make it so the tires I Bought wouldn’t rub. It’s been really solid so far since I installed it couple months ago. I didn’t have a shop install it and seems to be fine. I’ll let you guys know if I have any issues. The lift was like $250 or so and was not that bad to install just have to take your time and follow all the directions that Truxx s provides.

Finally got the truxx lift installed. Went with verde 20x9 +38 265/50r20, coopers discovery at3 4s. I had tried 255/55r20 duratracs but rubbed too bad in wheel well.

The beast is almost finished! 2021 Telluride LX AWD White Glacial Pearl with Hankook Dynapro AT2 RF11 265/60r18 and 18" Black Rhino Arches. Tinted windows complete, tow package installed, and Plasti Dip Teluride emblems complete (AWD and LX V6 Emblems removed). Last upgrade new Black Roof Rails and crossbars (yes roof rails also) on order from Kia Dealership and yes they will factory install them on roof. I don't believe anyone will think this is an LX when I'm done LOL. Ride is extremely quiet almost identical to stock tire noise, Discount Tire had to take off mud flaps no problem and I believe we have no rubbing on these but ill update as I drive more. When I was there at the shop they showed full turn and the tire maybe ever so slightly grazed inside smooth fender plastic. Enjoy the pictures.

Looks like 6” lift in that second pic 😳

Are there any tires I can safely run 255/55/20 on the stock wheels with the Truxx lift?

Here's a couple running Toyo AT3.

Any sweet off road fenders out there that would work on my lifted Telluride? It would look so good!
