Telluride sx lift and larger tires

Eibach just came out with their 2" lift springs. They're a little more expensive than the Truxxx spacers, and the lift springs will work with Telluride models that have the load-levelling Nivomat systems.

I've had the protoypes on since November of last year and haven't had any issues. Mine is an LX without the load-levelling system, btw.

Here are the part numbers:

PRO-Kit (lowering), $355.00: E10-46-042-01-22

PRO-Kit (lift), $399.00: E30-46-042-01-22

If you don't see the lift kit listed yet on the website, you can call them to order it.
Are you running stock wheels and tires too? With my heavier setup, it feels like it skips when going over a rough corner at speed. I'm wondering if their springs are tuned to handle aftermarket wheels and tires.

I eventually got aftermarket wheels and tires.

Currently have on:
17" KMC Canyon in black/grey, +35 offset
265/65/17 BF Goodrich KO2's

had to shave a bit of metal off the front brake calipers to get the 17" wheels on - there were raised letters that were digging into the inside of the wheel.

also waiting on Eibach to get their 15mm spacers in for my fronts and rears. Just a personal preference.

Nice setup. I'm going to keep an eye out for these springs. How does the ride compare to stock? I feel like it got a little rougher because of the unsprung weight.

Both the lift and lowering kits are already available to purchase directly from Eibach. I just checked their website (at the time of this writing) and the lift kit is not listed yet, but you can call to order them.

The ride feels a little stiffer compared to when I had stock springs on, but that might just be me. Height is noticeable, though...

Is there an advantage the springs have over the spacers from Truxxx?

Eibach says they designed them to get the max height they can out of the OE strut/shocks to maintain good ride quality.

They wouldn't recommend spacers or anything like that as you are then making the suspension work outside of the geometry it was designed to, and you could end up overextending the CV’s, bushings, etc., is what they said.

hey psanti, dang that set-up looks amazing! You think that 17" kmc wheel/tire combo you have will fit with stock suspension?

I don't mind filing/grinding the calipers some, but really wary of going to a lift after hearing about people with blown driveshafts/CV/whatevers... plus money is always tight and my OEM tires are starting to go and thinking maybe can swing it for some 17" wheels, but not a lift... thoughts?

BTW, looks like a 265/65-17 is about 1" taller than my stock 245/60-18...

thanks,
rob

Edited: the wheels should fit on stock springs but you'll need to get equivalent 17" size of the 18" tires you got on now. Not sure if that makes sense... it may seem taller but remember you're going down an inch in rim size...

The 2" lift allowed for the bigger tire size to fit. Without it, your tires will be hitting the wheel wells.

Tiresize.com has an offset calculator page and has dropdowns that allow you to find the 17" equivalent of what you use now. I found it pretty helpful when trying to compare tire sizes.

Has anyone had the tire size updated in the computer after going up in size? That will throw off the speedo a little.

My tire diameter went about about 1" and actually made my speedometer spot on. Before that, it was running too high.

I am running 265/50r20 Nitto Recon Grappler, No rubbing anywhere or full turn, not hitting any walls. it fits without the lift. I have the lift on hand but have not installed them yet.

No issue for me so far... what problem are you seeing?

Anyone else have CV boot problems after lift kit?
The first time I installed mine I had about fifty five thousand miles on it but I did it myself with a friend and we didn't do it correctly.
I ended up replacing both front axles with the boots and add it. Professionally installed no issues since.

Can you reset the tire size for the computer in the car?
