Ordered my telly on 8.24.19 with a dealer arrival date of 9.18.19.
As apart of my deal, I put > $5k down and was trading my toyota avalon limited that I still owed $1400 on.
The deal was: Upon receipt of my telly, that $1400 check was to be cashed, and they were to assume ownership of the avalon.

Well after maybe 20 + attempts to get someone to follow up with me regarding the status of my order, today (I day past my pickup day) I'm finally told that my delivery date was changed to 9.30.19.

So why in the ****! did you cash that check? I dont have my telly, and they haven't taken ownership of the Avalon.

It's simple, I'm not asking them to give me the moon. Just do what you say you are going to do, follow up with me and we won't have a problem!
Lastly, don't worship me when you're trying to get the deal, but treat me like a peasant once I've signed on the dotted line!

So you gave them your Avalon before you have your new car? You signed the vehicle over to them? Missing info on the origin of the $1400 check.

No, I still have the car. Will give it to them when i pick up my telly. I can back out if I want but were so close. Not going to because they gave me the highest amount towards it.

No but that's why it was post dated for the 18th. We were assured and reassured by several people at the dealer several times that they would have the telly on the 18th if not a few days sooner. They said the delays that people have experienced have only been on the higher trims, not the S.
Had they told me then the 30th, it would have been dated the 30th. Had someone actually followed up with me this could have been avoided.
Shame on me for not getting something in writing. But Shame on them for operating unethically.

Lesson learned.
 
I feel your frustration! My Telluride arrived last Friday. Being in Canada, I wanted the 20" Kia black wheels added. They said i could pick up my new ride in a week but would be in touch during the week to update me on the new wheels arrival. I called them Wednesday left a message for my salesman to call me. Never heard from him so I texted him and I never heard from him that way either. Yesterday afternoon I called the sales manager who said he would have a salesmen call me with an update. Never happened. Now it's one hour before I go pick it up and they call to say that the wheels aren't in. On another post I read that there are 72 of these wheels in a warehouse in Montreal. Montreal is only 2 hours away from me. How could they not be here?? And why do they wait to update me an hour before I'm due to be there to pick up my vehicle?? He didn't even offer an apology. I'm pissed!!

If this is the direction they are going with their customer service, the telluride will definitely be my last Kia.

....at least from this dealership. There are 6 others in my city so you'd think they'd have the best customer service since they aren't the only one I can go to.

I was very lucky, when I went to go test ride, my dealer was over 80 miles away, the Telly in the color I wanted already had the 20" black wheels. I got the S model. They also delivered it, so I would not have to make a second trip.
