The KIA Telluride in Wolf Gray

To each their own, but wolf grey looks like primer to me. Too flat.

“Work Truck white” was exactly my first impression too. Also that the Nightfall makes it look a little too much like a police car. I’m glad someone else thought exactly the same...just too stark and flat without the color depth of SWP.

I was in love with the Snow White Pearl and so disappointed when I saw the photo comparing the two side by side. My VIN popped up in Failcat last week but I’ve put myself back to the start of the line for a new order because I just can’t love it.

Yes, you are right, the contrast between the GWP and Nightfall is crazy. Kind of looks like one of those black and white bumblebees to me. But now that you mention it, a police car makes sense, but more of a white to black ratio than the usual black to white.

Hey, I was going for the “Blue collar- Work Truck White”,,, or “ Police Car White” look,, depending on my mood of the day!

Nothing wrong with that! Everyone has their own preferences, I think for me a large part of it was that I’d ordered back before the color change was announced and the old SWP just felt like the perfect color for this vehicle to my eye.

My WG arrived at the dealer yesterday. Inspection is on Monday. Dealer is 5 hours away. I’ve decided to trade our old vehicle in, so no shipping. I’ve got to figure out which day this week I can go, AND I’m trying to surprise my wife with this car. Working on my excuse for going out of town now!

So I guess you bailed on the local dealer idea? Looking forward to seeing your pics.

Yes - local dealer in DeLand ended up playing games on me and ultimately wasted my time. Came in last minute and took $1,000 off original trade in offer. I guess the GM looked at the deal (with me paying $2500 over MSRP and $900 dealer fee), and still said nope, not with the trade. The GM would never respond to me directly either, always having someone else call me and deal on their behalf. We could have figured this out in 10 minutes without the back and forth games. They wasted several hours of mine and their time.

Add to that the fact that the dealer in Atlanta was extremely honorable and the GM offered to let me out of my non refundable deposit if that’s what I wanted. I was blown away by that gesture. He’s also responded and called directly everytime I asked him something.

I’d rather buy from someone further away that has treated me straight-forward and honest. I look forward to posting about the good dealer once everything is finalized.

So when did u put the order for this one? does it take too long to arrive. we were thinking abt to order, but FB kia says it may take until April next year to get the delivery of SXP nightfall edition. so thinking of other options to get a Toyota Highlander for now. who was ur salesman?. did the process went smooth ?

Same, I'm driving 8 hours to Fort Worth @ Moritz because I'm from there (insurance will be cheaper) and my currently-local Louisiana dealer was pretty unscrupulous.

Frank- Looking forward to more pictures. I have a deposit on a WG due at end of October, and a little undecided based on earlier pics. The first set of pics I was definitely underwhelmed(looked too light), but the second set made the color look darker, which to me is more attractive. Getting a better sampling of pictures will definitely have value.

I decided to wait until December before placing an order. Luckily, my lease isn't up until July 2021, so I have plenty of time to place an order. From what I was told at FB kia, it would take anywhere from 3 to 8 months for a custom order to come through. I didn't have a specific salesman but all of them upfront about MSRP and have been helpful answering all my questions.

I pulled it off and she was COMPLETELY shocked! I got video and will piece it together tomorrow (hopefully) and post it.

She LOVES the color, absolutely loves it.
