Hey everyone, I've been on the Kia Telluride Forum for little while now and I've been a huge fan of the Kia Telluride since the introduction of this amazing vehicle back in 2016 when it was just a concept. By 2019, Kia had finally launched and brought the actual vehicle onto the market and I had purchased my very first Telly S trim at the end of 2019. I love everything about this vehicle from the style of design to the state of art safety features to the performance espect it's one of kind. Especially this vehicle what I love about it's this vehicle made for the family but with off-roading capability.
In a nut shell the first Telly I had was fun to drive and served my family very well for the past two years, but unfortunately early this year I was involved in an accident and unfortunately TOTALLED my first Telly (R.I.P)! Since the accident I've been tried to get my hands on another Telly, since 2021 when KIA introduced the special line-up the Nightfall edition, this vehicle just took a whole another level this thing is lit! At that moment I knew I had to get one. By early this April I've finally and proud to own my second Telly but this time it's the 2022 Telly EX "Nightfall Edition" with wolf grey color it's an upgrad for me and it took me just little over a month and I got it.
Not everyone as lucky as I am due to the current market shortage and dealer price gouging all over the country, this vehicle by far it's pretty hard to get let me just put it this way. The nightfall edition is a special line up for the top two trims of the Telluride "It only comes with EX and SX trim, what it is it's the vehicle trimmings are all black out, whatever you see on the Telluride in previous two years whether it's LX,S, EX or the SX they were all came with silver trimmings until2021 KIA had introduced the Nightfall Edition BUT for those who still prefer the vehicle in it's original touch you still can purchase one in any trim from LX to SX just let the dealer know your need that's all. Did I forget to mention about the KIA badge/emblem?
As of 2022 KIA had replaced the original KIA emblem with the newly designed badging KIA. Back to the "nightfall", especially with EX trim because of the premium package you will get a set of 20 inch glossy black nightfall edition rims with 20 inch Michelin all season sport tires, it's way better than the 20 inch Pirelli all season sport tires on the S trim. Also the color of "wolf grey" it only comes in nightfall edition so for those of you are interesting in such color you have to get the night fall edition same goes to the SX trim. Another highlight for those who looking to buy an EX trim, with the premium package it comes with a set of premium LED headlights like the SX trim has, the DRL comes in yellow halo instead of white.
Today, I just to happened to opened up the back cover (round cover) of the LED headlight to see if I can still upgrade to an after market LED lightbulbs tried to boots up to 8k-10k lumen but it looks nothing like the one I had on my S trim Telly, those premium Yellow halo LED headlamp it's the real thing you'll get what you pay for, it's a real LED light assembly, I don't need an upgrade to my opinion. About the nightfall edition or just an original Telluride here is the catch tho, because of the current market situation, your local KIA dealer may or may not carry the nightfall edition in their showroom or if you are looking for an EX or the SX luxury trims the dealer in your area simply just don't have it at all and all they have is one or may be two economy / low end trim like the LX or the S but most of the dealer now only shows the LX not even the S and that's all they have.
If you try to pre-ordered one with the nightfall, it may not come right away prepare yourself for a long wait. I just happened to be at the right time and at the right place and got the vehicle I want so... I just love this vehicle overall, the only regret I have it's the after market products and services for the KIA Telluride they're are not on the point but I would love to see more and more products coming out real soon because Telluride will be a HUGE and success in off-road market!
