Time from order date to VIN spreadsheet

We placed an order for a Telluride SX January 24 and were informed it would actually be ordered sometime in March. It is a pretty small Kia dealer and we felt like we were getting the run around so I have found a lot of info on this forum. We were told after calling them for the 3rd time that it was ordered approximately March 20 but I havent seen it on the VIN spreadsheet and they said they couldnt give us any proof the order was placed. How long does it typically take to show up on the spreadsheet and shouldn't they have an order number or something for us. We are considering going to another dealer if we keep getting such poor service.

We ordered an SX at about the same time. The dealer called us in March and told us we were in a cue to eventually get built. We were told to expect to wait about 5 months before we see the vehicle.

To be blunt, you need to practice some patience and stop hounding the dealer. Some cars are taking 5 or more months. Your not going to know anything or see a VIN for quite a while still. I’d guess late May for a VIN.
