• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Greetings,

The OEM tires have worn out (at only 30K, but apparently that's common). Looking to replace with either: (1) Pirelli Scorpion AS +3 or (2) Michilan Cross Climate 2.

Anyone have experience with one of these on their Telluride and can provide any insight? Thanks.

I installed the Michelin CrossClimate 2's about a year ago and have 8,000 miles on them. I love them and have used them a couple of times in snow and on the beach. On a recent long trip, I averaged 26.1 MPG and about half of the trip was on freeway's that allowed me to drive at 85mph (Idaho and Utah). We have also installed them on our Lexus ES350 FSport. They are slightly noisier than the OEM Michelin Primacy's. Where do you live? I have a set of the 20" Primacy's that are in brand new shape sitting in the garage. I'm in western Washington.

Thank you for the insight, appreciate it! I'm in Western Pa. The Primacy's were really quiet, are the Cross Climate's noisy in general do you think, or just noisier than the Primacy? Sounds like the ride in dry weather is good?

They are slightly noisier than the Primacy. They are not a loud, noisy tire. If you go to Tire Rack's comparison, you'll get a good idea on how they compare:

CC2 all the way.

Michelin’s awesome tire is a certified hit.

I'll throw a vote for the Scorpions. I had them on my Grand Cherokee and then switched them to the Telluride with about 5k miles used. They are waaay better than the OEM Michelins that were on there, which had about 8k miles on them. I went through a little snow in the OEM Michelins and they slid all over. The Scorpions went through very similar conditions with no slipping. I would say the Scorpions are very slightly louder but not much at all. I also am getting 25mpg so I don't think the gas mileage is adversely affected.

Mine wore out at 22k, live in Pittsburgh too. Went with Goodyear Assurance Maxlife as they were on special and got all four installed for I think less than $800. The car now has 50k and they are still 8/32. No difference than the OEM Michelins, except slightly better in the snow.
