• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I'm planning on 5 trips to Tahoe this winter season - I'm now seeing that the test results on the OEM Michelin Primacy Tour A/S are just OK.

As I'm not planning on going up that often, I'm not ready to invest in winter tires and am wondering if I should swap out the tires for a Continental CrossContact LX25 or a Michelin CrossClimate2.
Has anyone done this?

Also I have the Konig K67 - XXL Summit Chains already for another vehicle which I can use - if it does get hairy - but who likes hopping out for chain control setup?!?

If anyone has any experience or advice - that would be greatly appreciated.

I've considered getting CrossClimate2 but ended up getting Blizzak's. Cost of getting 4 CC2@20" vs 4 Blizzaks+18" used EX wheels were the same. Plus I get to preserve(?) the 20" and risk tire shop scratching the wheels. :) If you don't have to deal with snow/ice all the time, try out the stock and see if they will hold up.

After re-reading your other posts - I think you got a great deal on those used EX wheels from FB!

I think I will keep with the stock and see how they do! Thanks!

I found my set on first day of browsing FB. Maybe I was lucky but I still see some sets come up and go. I see 20" S/EXP wheels at $250+. LX/EX 18" are not very popular so can be had for low price. Also look for Palisade or Sorento 18"(pretty sure offset is the same). Since these are winters, it doesn't have to be pretty.
