• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... About to put in my order w i25 but I’m absolutely torn on which exterior color to go with…Glacial White Pearl or Sangria…other details: gray interior, SX (non-Prestige), Nightfall, AWD.

I live in southern CA and will have the car parked outside most of the time…the dark interiors will just get too hot…especially putting our 1.5 year old in the car seat before we head out.

GWP is my gut choice bc I like the contrast w the black trim and amber DRLs. However, Nightfall on the Sangria w the contrasting Gray interior would be quite unique - but maybe the dark exterior might contribute to a higher cabin temp when parked outside?

I welcome your comments, thoughts or suggestions. Thanks to everyone on the forum for all of the info you’ve posted - it’s been very helpful in getting me this far!

Just remember, there are no wrong choices!

The sangria color is beautiful IMO. However, if you're set on going with Nightfall, I believe the light colors (i.e. white) contrast best with the dark trim elements.

Another consideration is the scarcity of sangria - you may end up waiting longer for your order since Kia doesn't seem to produce as many in Sangria, whereas with Glacial White Pearl you'd have a higher chance of someone else backing out of a similar order, and thus "your" order becoming available sooner.

Whatever you decide, I recommend placing your order straightaway as the waiting game is rough!!

Remember... ;)

This question comes up weekly and I try not to be too crass but the bottom line is, choose what YOU like. See the colors in front of you (best) or a high resolution picture (next to best) and go with what you like. These post turn into a lobbying of what color is the best and that is no different from someone telling you what food you should like.

These are non-issues if you take advantage of remote start.

Even if you forget to remote start, the car cools down very quick. The front and rear climate have independent AC condensers. This is why you will notice water dripping by your rear right tire when parked after using AC.

Any car gets hot inside on a sunny day. Best you can do is tint windows and park in a way that doesn't get direct sun on the seats. It's silly to choose car color based just on how cool it'll stay. There are so many other factors that (at least to me) are more important. There are people driving black cars in Arizona and they've survived somehow.

Good luck with your choice, get what you think will still make you happy in 5 years when you look at it in the parking lot.

I considered the Sangria color for a long time and was waiting for one with a grey interior, but then saw the paint in a few different weather conditions and found that the color did not pop hardly ever. Granted I have found this to be the case with many of Kia's Telly colors, but the GWP is magnificent with the Nightfall package. I ended up going Dark Moss because of how unique it is, despite cloudy conditions making it seem a bit dull. No secret here that I think Kia could do with one or two vibrant colors, but that's not the market norm apparently :cautious:

We live in Houston so I understand the concern with heat. However, we added ceramic tint to all of our windows (You can even use a clear ceramic tint on the windshield and sunroofs if you don't want a tinting color on those) and it took care of any concern regarding heat in the car. That doesn't really help you decide on color but it will hopefully help you choose the color you like most without heat having to be a factor.

@Tellurider22 That’s a really good point about the scarcity of Sangria - thank you!

@Tellthemride I’ve never owned a car w remote start - thanks for the reminder!

For everyone else - I’m sorry that these color posts come up all of the time, but it did help w my decision and I learned a few things I may not of otherwise considered - so thank you for your input!

I put in my order on Friday with Dominic at i25. I had the chance to speak w him and he’s head and shoulders above anyone I’ve dealt with at my local dealerships.

I went with my gut: GWP SX, Gray, Nightfall, TP. I’M STOKED…and now let the waiting game begin!
