I recently completed my first camping trip using my 2023 SX X-Line as a tow vehicle for our 2019 Forest River Wolf Pup 16FQ. Backing the camper into my driveway before the trip was an adventure as the automatic braking was applied. I had hoped using Tow Mode would disable, but apparently not. I also turned off parking safety (which stayed off until I shut off the ignition) and had to disable the rear parking sensor (reset every time I shifted from reverse to drive).
During the 90 minute trip to the campground I was a little nervous, so disabled several driving safety features. This caused alerts on the dash, which stayed on the whole trip. The Telluride pulled fine and showed no strain from towing the 3000-3200# trailer.
On the trip home, I only disabled parking safety in setup and the rear parking sensor next to the gear shift. As mentioned above, the rear parking reset which was annoying. Dows anyone know if this is normal and if so, if there is a way to disable until ignition is shut off?
