Hope that changes. Dealer contacted me that this was available and put a deposit on it today so waiting for it to change to my name

Wouldn't worry about it... Must have been a custom order that someone backed out of... as long as you have paperwork and deposit you should be good

If you don’t mind, what does in transit mean exactly? Can you give an idea of what that looks like? Like are there multiple stops/pickups along the way? Is it a train/ tractor/trailer? Just curious.

It depends on location from dealer... I can not see like a fed ex tracker where in the country they are at.. Simply that it left factory and is en route to dealer..

From there it depends on how Kia gets Tellurides to the dealer. Some go via rail and then transport trucks whereas others go straight via transport truck..

On March 3rd I ordered a Moss Green NFE SX with Dune interior and the rear entertainment system. On May 6th I decided I did not want the rear entertainment system and placed a new order, receiving what I thought was a confirmation e-mail that the new order had been placed on May 8th. I just got a call that our car is in, but it isn't the exact car I ordered. It's a Gravity Gray SX NFE with Dune interior and a rear entertainment system. It's also a 2021 and not a 2022, as I had anticipated 2022 at this point. The VIN is 5XYP5DHC6MG193132 and I’m hoping you can tell me whether or not the initials JB or KB are attached to that Vin?

Also, is it normal for other Telly's with a much higher last 6 digits arriving earlier than ones with lower?

@StephenCantrelle just wanted to bump this up to see if you could tell me whether or not the vehicle is in transit? If the date changed, that would be great to know (hopefully for the better).

I'll save @StephenCantrelle some work so that he can enjoy all of the beers that he is receiving . Simple answer - A magic 8 ball will give you as valid an answer as most people here. The VIN is created during the build process (and, based upon info the last couple of days, going into paint). Your dealer will receive the VIN before it shows up on failcat(If it actually does - there are a few that slip through). If they are proactive, they will tell you when they receive the VIN. With an ETA of 8/4, an educated guess would be that the VIN shows up the middle of July. But again, just a guess after observing the process for a couple of years....

Hey Stephen, seems you are right about dates getting pushed back. Can you verify 5XYP5DHC1NG196618 (LH)? Original date was 6/24, then 7/1 now 7/8.
