Tell ya what...if you haven't tried any by the time my Telluride is ready to be tracked I'll swing by and drop off a bottle for you. It's on the sweeter end of whiskey (almost has a honey-like flavor, though not as prominent as, say, JD Honey). It's great to sip neat.

I've learned I can go to the website failcat.com and take a look for find my new vehicle in route, so to speak, or at least when the ordered was placed. I've yet to get the VIN number from my dealer on my first order, yet I believe it came in last week, from what the salesman said. Once if figured out the failcat system, I think my first order was created on 6/10, arriving at the dealer about 7/20. I do understand the VIN number doesn't show until the vehicle goes into the paint shop.

My telly arrived with some transport damage, and I'd seen that issue here, so I wasn't taken by surprise. Though the damage was supposedly cosmetic (I haven't seen pics - with the bumper and panel above the bumper), and the salesman said it could be repaired at the dealer, he also offered me the option to order again, which I took, simply because I have concerns that, if the damage is not merely cosmetic, and I take delivery, then there are issues, and I have H#$% getting good repairs. I don't want to go there!!

Supposedly, the new order has been placed. My question is: how soon should the order show up in failcat? I realize the website says it loads daily, but if my order was placed Monday, the 26th, I'm not seeing it yet.

Please advise.

It's one of my personal faves for everyday neat drinking....94 proof, wheated (like Maker's) and very reasonably priced. If I need an extra kick, I go for Evan Williams bonded. Anyway, back to tracking

Failcat I believe may be different from what your are thinking.

When you place an order it is simply a request to Kia.
This request will get approved usually during a once a month period.
Its depends how many orders are infront of you to determine how long the waiting period will be for Kia to accept your dealers request for your order.

Once accepted than you will be given an initial ETA. On average you will see the car start the build process and obtain a VIN about a month before the ETA to dealer. You will see the VIN show on failcat usually a day or so after it enters "Paint in" date.

To learn more details use the search bar and search "Title only" KFOS or KDealer.. I go into great detail of the process.

The car does not show on Failcat right after you order... can takes months in some cases.. in others if extremely lucky can show in days to a few weeks.....

Stephen, I guess my biggest problem in all this is my salesman doesn't seem very forthcoming with any info. I've asked several times for order info (I know this is not a true order situation, but a request to Kia), including actual date, VIN number, etc. I gave them a $500 check (deposit) on my "order" on 5/24. I was told that Kia was changing the production line from the 2021s to the 2022s the last week of May, and they couldn't place the requests during that week. On 6/16, I was told my telly could be there as soon as the week of 6/21 - I guess it didn't show, as I didn't get a call. Then, my salesman was out of the dealership the first part of the week last week (7/19), yet, on Friday, 7/23, he calls and says my telly is in, however, it has transport damage. When I reflected I wanted to re-order, I said, "and please provide an internal order number, or a screenshot of an order display (suggested here on the site). Depending on when my order was placed, after 5/24, I'm thinking delivery of about 7/20 is pretty good; however, I'm beginning to feel as if I'm getting a bit of a runaround!!

It's a 22 because VIN model year letter is "N", not "M".
