This just gets more depressing as the days go by. Went from 8/10 now to 8/25 and it’s sitting at the port 5 min from my house. Just because of a driver shortage I’m without a car.
And yw hope you have a better weekend than me 😔

Hi @StephenCantrelle. Can I get an update on VIN 5XYP5DHC7NG209534?
They're telling me it's slipped on ETA from 8/27 to 9/4, now 9/10. Just wanted an unbiased second reading to confirm.

Is this common in your experience for an ETA to move so much (and multiple times) this far along in the process? I'm trying to time my 300 mile drive to get it (no choice) against weekly car rentals replacing the heap we had that died. lol

If you read the thread "order to deliver time", the dates are constantly moving. Or look at signatures of members, some show the movement, too. Do not plan a trip based upon estimated delivery time. The dealer needs to receive the vehicle and prep it. There have been cases where they have arrived with some damage that needs to be resolved.

thanks! i was generally aware of others' ETAs moving around, but it seemed less often in most cases to move in the final 2-3 weeks. but that was probably just me glossing over the others that did to see what i wanted to see.

unfortunately i have no choice but to guess as best i can with the ETA. rental cars are so expensive these days due to scarcity from COVID sell off last year.
i can't/won't hold anyone to a guess based on ETAs, but i have to at least make my best guess for how long to rent at a time based on what knowledge i can glean at a time and let the chips fall where they may. day-to-day or week-to-week costs more than if i grab one for a month, but then only needed it 6 days, etc, etc. an unfortunate mess no matter how you slice it, so we handle it as best we can.
