Excellent. I would definitely ask for a more specific reply and how many people are in front of you for EX AWD and EX P AWD. I wouldn't discount that the Nightfall could also impact your spot on the list. Someone ahead of you may opt for one of the Nightfall and you still end up moving up the list. At least that is my hope with the SX Nightfall that are showing.

I have thought of that, hoping some might jump at the NE and get out of line. I actually did the EX AWD PRE, the 18" wheels look strange to me on that car. And there have been 5 PRE plus one PRE/NE since I put down my deposit.

I have the paperwork, (contract with VIN, etc.) but dealer can't give me an answer on when it will arrive. I see on FailCat is was "created" 06/22/2020.

Would you mind looking it up for me?

Thank you very much!! The salesman has been telling me that it gets delivered to their "storage" facility first and it was not there as of yesterday. The dealer's seems like a straight shooter, I just hope there isn't a problem.

Why don't you just ask Yonkers Kia sales manager? That's the second one you've asked about... and the other was only built 10 days later. They should be there by now or very soon. Yonkers has all the same info...

I used the failcat website to see what Tellurides were coming in to dealerships around my area and then called dealerships to verify if they were available.
My wife wanted a White AWD SX-P and Yonkers Kia had one coming in with Prestige, Towing and nightfall. I reached out to the dealership and they said it was available and not allotted to a different customer, so I gave a refundable $500 deposit. We don't really need the towing package but I was willing to stick with it since these SUVs are so hard to come by. Then I saw they actually had a White SX-P with Nightfall that was built earlier, so I asked Yonkers if that one was available. They told me it was, so I switched over my deposit to the one without the towing package.
Just an FYI, they are charging $500 over MSRP though.

Otherwise my work schedule makes it difficult to go in during business hours. @Julian0328 , I'll let you know how it goes. I'm assuming you ordered a custom Telluride from them and maybe they don't have one with that exact specification coming in just yet. I didn't custom order mine and just got lucky with finding a dealer that happened to have an unclaimed SX-P with the specs my wife wanted. Maybe try calling them and see if they have any Tellurides that are not already claimed by other customers.

I didn't order I actually put a deposit on a incoming unit which was then switched to a 2021MY. let me know how it goes please. I have been calling every week since June but its impossible to get a clear answer!

I don't have a VIN yet, but do have an order number of #IN026200504J002. I also attached a screenprint of the order entry from the dealership. I'm getting a little antsy to know because my wife's car is beginning to crap out and it would be nice to know if we need to start looking at other means of getting one (e.g. intercepting some units prior to being spoken for via failcat, palisade, selling our next born, etc.). If at the very least, can you please confirm that we actually have a car in the works to be made at sometime? I'm worried based on what i've read around the internet about validity of orders entered and other shenanigans going on. Kia of Muncie has been great to work with, but I just need some peace of mind at this point. thanks!

Muncie is a reputable dealership. There are multiple posts of recent deliveries - from October and November 2019 orders. Only Muncie knows where you are on their internal queue list for an SX FWD, but it's only been less than 3 months since your order. I would think that your total wait would be 6 months or more... so perhaps another 3-4 months if you're lucky? (@Jason Fox will be able to give you more clarity.) You don't have anything to worry about Muncie - they are honest and straightforward, but they likely have a long queue in front of you. The cost of arguably the lowest price in the country? A longer wait . But, as you said, good people.

And FYI, order numbers can't be tracked. There's nothing to track until a VIN is produced. They will get more information in a few months. Read the thread "Latest info on ordering through KFOS" for some more clarity.

Talked with my dealer today. My car (EX AWD P/N) VIn created around Jul 14 delivery date for Aug 15th. Got bumped up to the 4th of Aug. GM of that dealership said today that its likely getting pushed back towards the original delivery date due to a rail issue in New York? I guess my car is stuck in some yard in NY and they are doing rail construction that is causing the delay. Not sure if anyone can verify that on here.

My EX AWD VIN was also created on 7/14 on FailCat. I'm getting so frustrated with the delivery... My original ETA was 7/22, then 7/29, now 8/5 but honestly I don't think it'll be here then either. I'm in Oklahoma - not sure why NY rail line would cause delay from Georgia to Oklahoma but my dealer keeps saying they have a trucking shortage? Are you in the Northeast? Have you received any updates on your delivery date or gotten your Telluride early?
