Just another question - during my visit with the dealership where an order was placed and a deposit made, a value was assigned for the trade-in of my existing vehicle. Carmax offered a higher value for my vehicle - am I bound to trade in my vehicle with the Kia dealer or can I simply sell it to Carmax and add the trade-in equivalent amount to my deposit when I purchase the Telluride?

You should be able to do however you please on your trade. Would provide dealer with a current Carmax offer when Telluride arrives and see if dealer will match

Hi Stephen, I am wondering if you can please check my vin again 5xyp5dhc5mg115988. Last time it was 10/1 but dealer contacted us on Saturday and seemed pretty sure it would be in by the end of this week so wondering if something changed or if they are just being optimistic. Thanks in advance!

In addition to Steve's answer, I recommend you get a quote from Carvana. My dealer did match the Carmax price, but unable to match the [significantly higher] Carvana price. I ended up selling to Carvana. It was a very smooth transaction.
Do a search on this forum for Carvana and you will find many satisfied sellers.
