Car is in process of being built when Vin generates.. has a frame and painted.. usually finishes built process few days after we are seeing them on failcat. Then awaits final inspections and then transported out

I am so glad I found this forum!! I ordered in May and dealer has no information, except the order was sent. So I have several questions for the experts! I see some of you have the VIN number before you have your car. How do you get those? When you look on failcat, are those the dates the car comes into the lot, or being produced? Are those cars already spoken for, or how would you know? Thanks all!
