• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Has anyone traded in their 2020 or 2021 for a 2022? Wondering how much people are getting for them. My thought was, if I am able to snag a 2022 that someone decided not to buy, how much might I get on a trade in if the 2023s are a major improvement.

They’re more likely to screw it up than make it better. With regard to a trade. Get all the online quotes: vroom, carvana, etc so you’re armed going in,

If you can get top dollar on the trade-in and get a new one at MSRP that would work.

I posted this the other day that got no action :(

My 2020 SXP with 29k miles is$47,000. I would be up for a 2023 if it had significant improvements.

Yea this is one of the model vehicles you can actually make out doing this with right now. Best to sell it to another dealer than trade it in. My experience has always been if the dealer is giving you incentives to buy a new one with them (msrp or less) then their trade in values are trash to be more profitable in that respect.

While not a '20 or '21, I just sold my '22 to Carvana. 2022 SXP w/ 1,800 miles - MSRP was $48,935 and Carvana gave me $56,656.

I agree, but it's hard to find dealership sells at MSRP otherwise you have to wait, I'm trading in my leased LX with 7k above buyout quote, and getting sx 6 k above MSRP, that would break even for me, may be I'm rushing but I can't wait 12 months to get one at MSRP.

You just got it. Something was wrong with it?

Not at all! In fact I quite loved it. In the 5 months that I waited for it, however, it became more and more apparent that out house is in need of costly maintenance. So, I sacrificed my Telluride for a much cheaper vehicle (Kia Forte) so we can free up some income for renovations.

Certainly takes the sting out of the 6k mark-up....what a crazy time to buy a car!
