Trade Telly for Stinger?

I love my Telly but have recently become attracted to the Stinger. I know that they are totally different but I have an Explorer that I can use to haul and for winter use. What do you guys think?

Stinger is a nice car for sure. You are going polar opposites, one is a car they can't get, the other is a car that is very low in demand and production is stopping. If the used market wasn't so messed up, you could get the Stinger for a great deal.

I have a Stinger 2019 GT Limited (same as GT2 in the US) and I've ordered a Telluride SX Nightfall two weeks ago.

The stinger is a very nice car. It's so beautiful and it's really a joy to drive.

In my opinion it has the perfect amount of power and torque on the road. Having all the torque available at very low rpm is also very nice.

Before the Stinger I had a Subaru STI and I decided to go with the Stinger because the STI was becoming too aggressive for me. The clutch was very firm and I started having knee issues. That was quite painful in traffic.

The Stinger on the other hand is a fast car but it's also quite comfortable as long as you drive on nice roads.

And that's the reason why I want to go with the Telluride.
I love the Stinger but I live in Montreal Quebec and the roads here are just awful.
I had to replace 5 tires in a year and a half and two mags.

I also want something "slow". Let's say I always had some issues with speed and I really need to slow down. I always feel frustrated behind the wheel of the Stinger because that car is so quick, you have to get off the throttle after a couple of seconds.

And last but not least we bought bicycles this year and although I found a way to transport them (SeaSucker mini Bomber) it's not the most convenient setup.

But if you already have a more practical car then just do it because the Stinger is such a beautiful car and it's very nice to drive.

Stinger is being discontinued.

So if you really like it - and for sure it's a very nice car - you're going to have opportunities throughout this year and the next.

As others have said too, probably opportunities on the secondary market as well.

Given what the dealers are asking for Tellurides, you'd be better served by selling it outright then buying the Stinger.

We picked up my wife's Telluride about 6 weeks ago. It's a great vehicle for what it is, but it's nothing like the Stinger. By comparison, it's slow, not agile and handling just doesn't compare

I was driving a '16 Golf R as my daily driver and recently sold it because I won't need a daily for a year or so. I also wanted to take advantage of the current used car market. I'm looking at a Stinger as a replacement but there's no way I'd go from the R to a Telluride.

The Telluride is definitely not a performance vehicule.

Whether it's a good or bad choice totally depends on someone's needs.

So yes the Telluride is very slow compared to the Stinger but you don't have 7 seats in a Stinger

"By comparison, the stinger is low to the ground and terrible in the winter time and I had to bum a ride to the ski hills .. and then I met like 5 hot women and I had no room to take them all but I'd I had my wife's telly it would be no problem ... The AWD saved my life but my good friend in his stinger died because of lack of ... and then I tried to tow 5000lbs in the stinger but for some reason it was a no go ... bummer ..."

If you think the Stinger is bad in winter, you have the wrong tires on it, assuming AWD. The R, with the right tires, was great in the winter.

As for the hot women, I've been married way too long to worry about that consideration.

Divorce is way more expensive than a Stinger, or a Porsche for that matter.
