• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... We just took my wife's new 2023 Telluride from Long Island (flat terrain) to New Hampshire. The drive was great and I love the drive and all the technology in the Pro...but at the end of the drive we had to go up a road that was on a pretty steep incline and turns out this vehicle is barely capable of making it up (distance slightly less than a mile). When I exited the vehicle there was a strong burning smell. Second attempt went a little better- but still no climbing power at all. Maybe I am spoiled by my 2019 RAM?? Anyone with a similar experience?

That doesn’t sound normal. Please provide some more details. Was it a dirt road or paved? Dry or wet? Also, what drive mode were you in and did you perhaps lock up the differential with the drive mode knob or turn the traction control on or off?

And in addition -- speed up the hill, and approximately angle of incline.

I drove up Mt Washington with no problems.

It was a paved road, dry and was in comfort mode. Did not touch anything on the vehicle after a really enjoyable 5 hour drive. I'm guessing the incline was around 25-30 degrees maximum, but it varied and the road was very curvy so I really could not build up any speed

I was thinking of doing that, but I don't have confidence that the vehicle would make it
It really isn’t that hard on the vehicle. I barely used the brakes on the way down. You keep it in drive on the way up and in 1 on the way down.
