• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I used to be active here then life got in the way. Love that this forum is so active!

Today I checked our shop software for oil change info and saw there are 14 TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins) as of now for Tellurides. Most of them are general Kia TSBs not specific to this model. I'm going to summarize as I'm sure I'm not supposed to share the details from the software we have to pay for to use at the shop. I can't link to the reports but I'll list them in the order I see them with a super brief summary. I'm going to take mine in for it's first service at the dealer instead of our mechanic doing the work as we'd planned as there are a few that I want checked under these TSBs. I think I'm experiencing the intermittent DRL issue, as I'll notice sometimes that only one or neither of the lights is reflected when I'm behind another car, but it's not always clear if it's just a bad angle or if a light isn't on. I've noticed it often before seeing this TSB, so I think it's likely. The bluetooth was a definite problem when driving on a long road trip but I rarely use it otherwise as I don't often travel more than 10 miles from home. I have noticed our radio reception is wonky, so hopefully this will help that. Don't know anything about the U joint or Electronic Parking Brake being an issue, so I'm likely not affected by those. I'm also going to have them check on replacing a broken seat belt retainer clip (body piece) under warranty and have them check the a/c system dash vents as they whistle/whine on high speed if they are pointed too far to one side or the other. And of course the recall for the seat belts that was alerted under the UVO app

I'm only listing the ones that are specific to the Telluride. It also says that not all VINS in the production dates are affected, so the dealer will check your VINS against the Kia lists to be sure.

Thanks for posting! Things like this are always good to know.

Poor form to reply to my own post but thought I should add this.
TSBs are not the same as recalls, they are things that the manufacturer wants checked if a vehicle is brought in with concerns/issues that aren't a severe or frequent enough issue to warrant a recall, say a very small risk of being an issue in the population of that model or a convenience issue rather than a safety issue. Dealers will not always check your vehicle for a TSB if you haven't brought up a concern or complaint. There aren't many TSBs yet for this vehicle as it is so new that if you bring yours in for standard service they may check them all now but as time goes on and the number of TSBs and the population of cars increases, that is not always going to be the case at all dealerships.

To find out the production date of your specific vehicle you call call the dealership with your VIN and they will be able to look it up. Checking your VIN yourself will decode down to month and year but some TSBs are more particular. Mine was produced/built 03/28/19 so I happen to fall within all four of the TSBs currently listed, but certainly not all Tellurides on the road now will.
