• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi, I've read through several threads looking for an ideal answer. I'm coming from a non-RFID, non-keyless-start car, and I have never loved the push-button door handle lock/unlock.

Of course, the TRUE awesome solution to allow me to remain in the dark ages would be to turn the RFID entry option OFF and just use the "door unlock" button on the fob. Is this possible?

As a workaround, does anyone have a favorite RFID pouch that they leave on the fob except when driving? Bonus points if it stays attached (via a leash) when not wrapped around the fob. Extra bonus points if it's easy to unbutton enough to conveniently unlock the car when approaching it.

Cheapest faraday bag on the market. Just eat the chips first.

Sounds like more work. I say to just embrace the advancements in technology. You will get used to it.

Would be like buying a 4K tv to exclusively watch 720p content.

As long as no one steals the car, I'll be happy. I'll probably like the new stuff if I get used to it. Was just hoping to find an easy "turn it off" option.

This is the way! Unless you are in a high crime area, park your vehicle outside and your key fob is close to an exterior wall where your fob can be cloned. This is pretty rare in the US and more common in Europe.
