Tuxmat fit issue (to the left of the gas pedal)?

I installed our new Tuxmats yesterday and found the driver's front mat is spongy (held 1-1/4" off the floor) to the left of the gas pedal by what appears to be a gas pedal mounting flange (that extends 3/4" under the mat). I don't want to cut the mat because it would void any warranty. Does anyone else have this issue with their Tuxmats? I'm not sure if it matters, but it's an SX Xpro.

I don't have this problem with the Tuxmats on my SX. Fit is very close.
