• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just FYI, Tuxmats are now back in stock. Ordered mine 5 minutes ago!

You will love them, they are so nice. We have had ours 1.5 years and they still look new. Easy clean up and install.

I dont quite understand the hype of these. Everyone is freaking out about them. How are they different than say weather tech or smartliner besides visually

I actually felt the same way when I first heard about them- until I did some researching. From an aesthetic viewpoint, top-notch. Gives that luxurious touch to the interior. I've also heard from a comfort standpoint there is no comparison from the rest.

Many people also say maintenance is simple- a vacuum and a wet cloth/sponge will bring them back looking new. I ordered them, so I'll guess I'll eventually see for myself.

I've had weathertech in the past, they're fine, but they just don't look or feel as nice as the Tuxmats (or the similar Kagu/3D textured washable mats). It's just a bit nicer than plain rubber.

I usually dont touch my floor mats so I dont think the feel of them would much matter to me. The telly is for the wife so I let her pick based of appearance and she hated the look of the tuxmats. Couldnt find any info on how they would be any better than the weathertech and she liked the way they looked so I just ran with the WT

I just ordered mines too for my 21 SXP Everlasting Silver scheduled to arrive June 15, 2021.

The hype is unreal, even for the overly flawed first gen with the awful texture. They've fixed that issue and the ridiculous pin situation but TuxMats still look ugly af 🤢

Of course, looks, lines, color decisions, design aesthetics are subjective and factions have formed in the Great Floor Mat Debate of 2020-2021.

Count me in with those who don't find TuxMats good-looking at all.

They look like those puffy jackets

It truly is personal preference only. Those of us who prefer TuxMat have just been waiting for them to be in stock. And they sold out fast.

They look like those puffy jackets

I totally agree they do look like puffy jackets. Maybe a little ugly about that aspect but if it does the job and is more comfortable...

I deal with lots of salt on the roads and wanted more coverage. Also the regular carpet mats don't cover the floor on the second row or between the seats. Four kids so yes that area will matter for me.

I personally don't like the look or feel of WeatherTech.

Floor mats are like everything else... it's your ride and your choices should match your needs and style.

One of my favorite parts about this forum is seeing how we all personalize our Tellys in different ways.

Yeah, I wasn't promoting the Tuxmats or starting a debate, just being a good citizen and notifying those who might be interested!

No debate from me. Was just trying to understand the following behind it if I was missing something. Just seems like a different style all season mat

"Everyone is freaking out about them." - No one is freaking out
"I usually dont touch my floor mats so I dont think the feel of them would much matter to me. " - I think people were referring to the feel on their shoes/feet
"...she hated the look of the tuxmats" - of course looks are subjective and if she hated the look, why worry about them?
"They look like those puffy jackets" - Making fun of other peoples' choice is unnecessary. Same for the other poster's comment that they are "ugly af". Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

These are floor liners. They don't do anything other than protect the floor. Overall, people on this forum are enthusiastic about their Telluride and I really enjoy that enthusiasm, even if some of the conversations aren't directly relevant to me.

There are several other threads on why people chose a particular floor liner and the pros and cons of them. That would probably be a better place to look for the information you are seeking.

And they are sold out yet again! I'm glad I ordered mine this morning.

You seem way too sensitive to be on the internet. All I did was ask a question and give my opinion.

Ok buddy keep on swinging. Unfollowing and thanks for your participation.
