If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi all!

I've been calling around to different dealerships in the Indianapolis area to order a Telluride. When I ask about the final price each one has said there would be an extra market fee ranging between $2500-5000. Has anyone had luck ordering from a dealership without the added market fee?

Call Lucas at Kia of Muncie. You will wait a while but they sell below MSRP.

Thank you! Just spoke with him and sent over the specifics.

Hello, and Welcome. They also offer a great price on extended warranties. Platinum plan, $0 deductible. I don’t know what the price is now, but, last November, I got it for $1428. Saved $750 from what my dealership was offering. Talk to one of the finance guys there for the latest. I worked with Craig Sutherland.

Thank you for that info too. I'll ask them about it once I get to that point!

When did you buy? And did you negotiate the extended warranty before putting your deposit down?

No negotiations involved at all. I put down a deposit for the vehicle when I ordered it (like everyone ordering from the factory). I paid the vehicle when it arrived in early November (2020). I turned down my dealership‘s extended warranty plan because I wanted to research and compare it to the bumper-to-bumper warranty that comes with the vehicle. After I decided it may be prudent to add the warranty, I used this forum to shop around. I saw that the Kia, in Muncie, was offering a much better price for it, so I contacted Craig Sutherland, and he wrote it up. All via email, and a phone call. That was it. No negotiating.

Great! Thanks for the info! I'll make sure to shop around before I go take delivery. I've heard great things about Kia of Muncie, but ended up ordering through Gurley Leep in South Bend because they called me back. Same as you, did it all via email and a few phone calls.

Gurley Leep around South Bend is offering MSRP with a 3-6 month lead as of July

Wish I would have seen this thread for the Muncie dealership before securing mine. I am paying a $2500 market adjustment over MSRP for my wolf grey EX from Ray Skillman in Greenwood. ☹️. It is supposed to be in next week.

I had no problem in Evansville, said 3-4 months but only time will tell.

Thats too bad :( Its been common knowledge for about 2 years here that Muncie sells below MSRP. My EX lease ends in under 6 months and I'm tempted to buyout the lease + sell and buy one from Muncie.

I had shopped in Indianapolis and the best I could find was at Skillman Kia in Greenwood with $2,000 Market Adjustment and $750 protection package that I didn't want and 6-8 months. After seeing posts about Kia of Muncie contacted Lucas Boehm and ordered Dark Moss AWD EX with Premium Package and Nightfall for MSRP with $500 refundable deposit. 6-8 months for that model which is fine with me as I'm in no hurry. 1 phone call and 3 emails was all it took. Reached out to Skillman and they are very firm on price and told me that deal sounds too good to be true. Will not buy a car in the future from Skillman if I can avoid it.

Same thing happened to me. They tried asking about the taxes, fees etc and telling me that Muncie hides their market adjustment in those numbers. I asked how is that even possible to do when taxes is taxes...lol

Title Fee $31.25 and $199 Administrative Fee plus state tax were the only other costs I was quoted. Hard to make up that $2750 in those numbers

Skillman was great to work with when I bought my 2020 LX trim Telluride (at MSRP). I am looking to upgrade now and unfortunately, they told me they have a $2,500 market adjustment, so I will look elsewhere.

When did you order in Evansville. I placed my order on July 31st and am still waiting. They also make you get the paint protection which to me is basically their upcharge fee. Who did you order from?

I ordered 8/14 from Brian M, I texted him a couple weeks ago and he said I have a ETA of Nov 30th, and they have been arriving a few days earlier. Also had to pay for the paint protection fee.
