• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... UVO and Google Home

Hi, are you able to show the details for how to make Kia UVO worked with Alexa?

I did set Alexa location in States but still can't find Kia UVO skill. Some more settings should I do?

Thanks a lot.
Are you searching on the following screens?

I set the Alexa location just like this.
But I didn't set my own cellphone location as USA. Is it a problem?

When I searched it, it showed up like this.Screenshot_20201230-122024_Amazon Alexa.webp

NVM, I think you already tried what I wrote as I see device settings in your screenshot.

That is exactly where I searched Kia uvo.

Are you using Apple IOS or Android?

I am using Samsung. I am not sure if that is the difference.
I am using Apple iOS. Did you try searching “uvo” without “kia”?

Do you have more than one device linked to your Alexa app? Maybe they all need to be set to a US zip code if so. (you don’t need the entire street address)

Can you try this link and see if it shows up? If it doesn't work on your phone, try it on your PC.

Thank you so much all Telly friends!
I logged in the link above and showed me this ''It looks like your account is set up for Amazon.ca! Click here to visit the Skill Store on Amazon.ca and browse skills available for your device''. I guess this is the problem logged in with previous Amazon.ca account. I think I need to create a new account just for Amazon USA.

I am gonna try and let everyone know latter.

Appreciate it.

Hi there, I created a USA Amazon account and tried again, but failed again!!!

I searched 'kia uvo' 'uvo' 'kia' , same. I don't have other Alexa device login, SO…

Have no idea. The only thing I could try is to do it with Apple IOS and see.

Tired to do it. Hope Kia UVO Canada update the function with OK Google and Siri soon for us.

I've heard the UVO skill does not work in Canadian Tellurides. I don't think there is any way around it.

Last trick you could try would be to mask your IP using a VPN with a USA IP address. But I think it was discussed in an earlier post even if we were able to get Alexa to work with the UVO skill, you would need login credentials from the US owners.kia.com portal to login. Canadian Telluride VINs can only be registered to the Canadian owners portal. So it will always be a dead end.

Ya it's a lost cause for us Canadians, I have tried a few things including VPN and Amazon US account. most important is the is what Tellthemride said, our credentials will not work on the USA site, and Kia won't make a Canadian skill.

To be truthful the whole Canadian UVO setup sucks, we don't even get scheduled startups. We get it free for 3 years, and I doubt I will renew. not even sure the price because all documentation shows the US options. Might only be $100 a year for us with the limited functionality.
