• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I would like some feedback to help me decide if what I am experiencing is normal or if I have an issue. I normally keep my vehicle in ECO mode so whenever I am in traffic or at a light the auto start/stop activates. I think that the vibration or shudder is excessive but maybe it is just me not know how it should react. I thought I read that the Kia has something in the ignition to allow for smoother operation. Something for quick ignition versus a full start or stop? Technically, my description is probably not the best, but should I be feeling a full shudder every time the auto start/stop engages?

Thanks in advance.

I have not felt this on ISG (Idle Stop and Go). But "full shudder" may have different meaning to different people--some may be oversensitive to it. But you have a good question. Let's wait for others to chime in.

There is a noticeable faint shudder/vibration when ISG restarts the engine. But nothing alarming or distracting to me.
