  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... If a VIN number is available on a certain date, what does it actually mean? Does it mean that the vehicle is already built and now is in the process of shipping to destination? If I have an ETA from the dealer when the VIN number is generated, can the ETA still slip further?

You have the right idea. Yes, vehicle is built if there is a VIN. ETAs can change - that's why it's an Estimated Time of Arrival. Stay in contact with your dealer regarding the ETA.
