  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I contacted my salesperson today because I had an ETA for early Sept. 11th. I have been anxiously awaiting my VIN to pop up on failcat. I contacted him this morning to see if he had an update and was told my ETA was pushed back by almost 2 weeks. I was also given a final inspection date (next week) and a ship out date. How common is it that failcat failed to capture my VIN? Or will it pop up any day now? I was busy and forgot to ask him these questions or even ask if he had the VIN. 🤦‍♀️

It is not uncommon for a vin not to show up in failcat. If the vehicle is at the stage your dealer says it’s in they should have a vin. They should be able to provide it fairly effortlessly. Good luck :)

I'll ask for it tomorrow

The VIN is created when the vehicle goes into paint. You should have it any day.
