• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My Telluride turns the volume down on whatever I am listening to whenever I put it in rever

Mine does too. Pretty sure it's a safety feature on all models. If using a GPS app, it will only play the voice upfront for the driver to hear and still play music in the back.

Most new cars will do this, as well as reducing volume when you’re receiving prompts from the nav. Totally normal.

This is so you can here the parking sensors better.

Correct! Most new car's I've driven do this. Also the beeping sound should come from the front or rear based on the proximity sensor being triggered. I also got my first side collision alert yesterday when I opened the driver's door with a car approaching in a parking lot. Didn't have anyone in the rear to test out the lock in function.

Yep, helps you focus better in general by limiting the distraction of the radio. I would also assume if someone was honking or yelling at you it would be easier to hear.

This can be adjusted in Infotainment setting .You can select from off to low or medium volume. This applies to stop at red light while in drive, reverse and when changing from reverse to drive.
