• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Anyone ever use Tux Mats? They look really nice, but wanted some feedback from actual users. I like that they have a full package for the 7 seat telluride.

If not, any other brands? I’m not a huge fan of weathertech or smartliner.

I have weathertech on my Telluride for over 3 years and they’ve held up well.

I bought tuxmat to try on my second car (sedan) and they definitely look more premium than the weathertechs. the liner portion that raises off the floor is also goes much higher and covers more upholstery compared to the weathertechs. one downside to that may be that you need to attach more clips around the border to keep the vertical portions from sticking out.

The tuxmat feel is grippy like a basketball, whereas weathertech is rough plastic like the bottom door panels.

Go tuxmat if you like luxury look with high grip and taller coverage. Weathertech for the industrial look, lower profile and less grip.

Tuxmats look much better and easily cleaned with vacuuming followed by a wet cloth. Probably my favorite aftermarket purchase.

Thank you. Exactly what I was looking for.

I went with Tuxmats. I love the premium look.

My second choice was Smartliners. Much less expensive than weathertech or tuxmats. I love much about them and that they do not have the reputation for curling like weathertech.

But the look and feel and better overall coverage of tuxmats won me. I think there is the potential to need clips to help hold them in place is because they are softer and not as rigid as weathertech and smartliner.

Tux mats are great, not only do they look good, but you do not have to take them out of the car to be vacuumed or clean. You can clean them right in the car. They cover so well dirt usually doesn’t get under the mats.

I've always used Husky liners. Had them in my 2013 Explorer and they held up great over 9.5 years. Put them into our 2018 Sorento on day one and I put them into my '22 SXP on day one. They are my prefered all weather/season mat.

I can't comment on Tux but did buy the actual Telluride/Kia OEM mats and they're great. And somewhat inexpensive. Bought off EBay but I believe was a dealer selling through that channel...

I have the smartliners, and they are perfect. Bendable and a little grippy, and just the right amount of flexible.

Thanks for your description. I am leaning toward the Tuxmats - front row only (2nd row gets rare use so will stay with the carpeted mats for now). Now that you have actually installed them, did you use the stick on clips or the velcro ones?

I have not used any clips. I might put one up near the accelerator if that is an issue. But it doesn't seem to be.

Everything fit really nicely. And as I'm the only one in the car (other than the dogs) most of the time, I'm not really thinking I'll need anything else.

But I have only driven the car two days since I got it. It's been with the tint/ppf guy otherwise. I'm picking it up this weekend. So, I reserve the right to use other velcro/clips as needed!

My salesman (getting his own 2024 Telluride soon) helped me install the TuxMats. He really liked them. And another guy came over to take a look too.

Great input for me - thanks. I had WeatherTechs in my Sorento and they were just ok - kind of meh. Looking for something more luxurious but still easy to maintain and the Luxmats look really nice!
I can buy just the front mats direct from Luxmat for $137 (can't do that on Amazon), but one issue is they are out of stock right now, so have to wait for ???
I considered the Smartliner but at least from pictures, they resemble the WeatherTechs too much. However, cost for just the front two is only $93 and change (WeatherTech is $115). I am going to hang tough and wait it out for the Luxmats to get back in stock.

I'm always compelled to throw in my opinion that nothing looks as finished and correct as the standard carpets for the summer. All plastic mats look ugly to me, even the Weathertechs I put in every late fall and early spring turning my lux ride into a cargo van :(

I'll be doing something similar - that's why I will have both

Tux mats were the way to go. I love them

Just go ahead and get the first two rows. You'll like them so much, you will be glad you did. And they are in stock. You've probably seen all the pictures, but I can post some when I pick up my car in a few hours. Taking the new grand baby and his parents for a ride to show off the car, too.

Yeah, I got them on order (the front row). The problem was, I was using 2024 as the year and their sw isn't recognizing that yet - so I changed it to 2023. All is good!

I'll see how the 2nd row does with the carpeted mats. For 14 months, I had WeatherTechs in both front and 2nd row of my Sorento and found that I never needed them in the 2nd row. Only had one passenger back there -- maybe two times?

My Tuxmats arrived yesterday - great turnaround time! Don't really need them yet but lousy weather will be coming before I know it.

I just installed full Weathertech in all three rows and I am happy so far.
