• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What did you do to your Telluride today?

A lot came in this week...let's start with the Canadian 60/40 cargo mat: Meh...for the money, I was expecting more/better.

Rubberized mat about the thickness of a WeatherTech but flimsier. Velcro-y on one side to help stick to the carpet but the stickiness was unimpressive overall. There are a couple of proper velcro tabs but the lack of stick on the large surfaces makes for a baggy fit (on the large surfaces). The cut is full so it was tight on the edges...which doesn't play well with the baggy/loose stick.

Getting to the under cargo area was easy enough...I had to lift the Canadian to get to the handle, but lifting the lid was fine. Placing it all back was a bit more of a pain (without the mat, the deck takes some fiddling to get it seated. With the mat it is just a bit more fiddly).

All-in-all I guess I will keep them for a bit and see if they end up being unworkable but if a friend were thinking about these I would be a solid Meh...for USD300 I expect a lot more. I will probably need to buy some velcro tabs ultimately to make it ok. I think I will like the 60/40 split but overall the mat is underwhelming and for the money I probably could have been equally Meh'd with WeatherTech, or kept looking for one of the full coverage dog mats for less money.

Thanks for the pictures. I agree these are expense.
I need cover for back of all 3 seats. Can't find any pictures of Canvasback with all 3 rows covered.

Blacked out the exhaust fairings. This was with a high temp, black matte paint that I had left over from refurbishing a wood stove...so it is very matte and looks more like charcoal than black. I did as some folks here recommended and disconnected one of the rubber hangers to give me some slack to work with, taped/covered everything, multiple coats over a period of time. Reassemble the hanger and clean up.
I used Krylon's Satin Black high heat specialty paint and in my opinion it looks like they were factory black. Very pleased with this product as a detail spray nozzle was equipped to ensure a tight, smooth pattern. I am satisfied with the outcome.
I blacked out the front Kia. This was with a high temp, black matte paint that I had left over from refurbishing a wood stove...so it is very matte and looks more like charcoal than black. I think it turned out OK but I suspect that paint won't be very durable - it is easy enough to touch up though. I wanted to get this done before going in for ppf and ceramics (I don't think there is anything they can do for that badge but I will ask when I drop it off).

The charcoal color on the exhaust tips (see other post) is questionable and may change over time but I like the charcoal offset of the front badge and will probably keep that (barring the durability thing I mentioned above).

Da' list:
  • Waiting for Canadian 60/40 to arrive
  • Waiting for ppf/ceramics appointment
  • Brake calipers to red
  • Getting my bulbs together for the license/reverse lights. Moss Telly is an SXP so most everything is LED already.
  • Waiting for center console organizer to arrive
  • Looking at 2nd row organizer now
  • Thinking on how to protect the inside (I can be a mess...spilling stuff, scraping/gouging plastic, etc.
  • Mount the radar detector
  • Mess the nose intakes
  • roof protection
  • rack on top
I used Krylon's Satin Black high heat specialty paint and am very satisfied with the outcome. The spray nozzle on the can allowed for precise control and a smooth output

Removed the Arapahoe Kia stickers from the back. I had asked Georgia to not put them on but whatever... There is a little bit of a mark from taking off the adhesive but I am hoping the ceramics folks can cover that up.
So I just got back from the ceramics appointment. That thing I saw as a rub buffed out. They think it was adhesive (which I think was them politely saying I did not go *far enough* with my removal/cleanup).

So this happened today: just picked up Moss Telly from ceramics (full frontal ppf; body ceramic; window ceramics) from Sigma Kore Denver.

pics from Day 1 and 3 from picking up after coatings.

You can also see the blacked out front badge, and a hitch cover I added. I have interior coatings; brake caliper paint and reverse lights up next...after seeing a gentleman about a roof rack this weekend.

and why haven't you done the same thing to the badge in back?! Looks good though!

So far pretty nice. You forgot to black out the rear badge. Also on the PPF did they get replacement letters for you or did they try to put the old ones back on?

yeah...so about that. I think that was a mistake. They cut around them. I should have taken them off before hand or had them do that. It will be ok for me, but just ok. They weren't particularly tight with their cuts.

Picked up the telluride from detailer on Sunday. Modesta BC04 on exterior painted surfaces, glass, and wheels. SunTek Reaction PPF on front bumper and exterior B and C pillars. Came out amazing and will post pics shortly.

Very pleased with the cut lines on the PPF on the front bumper and cannot even tell the B and C pillar's have PPF it was done so well.

Going to cut the OEM rubber mat to use as a cover for the well cover and then decide on seat back protection. Likely ordering the tux mats to see how we like those in place of the weathertech liners. They appear to offer the protection benefits with a less "cargo truck" appearance.

Also looking a winter wheel and tire combo.

first, loving all the mods seen here. I added all weathertech mats including cargo. its the wife's ride, but she is open to all the money I want to spend on it. running boards ordered.

Cleaned the inside and swapped out my WeatherTech floor liners with the new WeatherTech HP Floor liners. Wow what a big difference the new mats are heavy.

Wrapped our 2023 gravity grey SX X-line with piano black wrap on the front and back bumpers. Side panels are next. Was able to do all 3 with a 3x5 ft sheet of vinyl.

I also added Xpel stealth paint protective film on the screen area as a screen protector. It’s got a satin fish and makes fingerprints non existent. Took some time to create a template and then installed myself. Not easy to install but only costed me $30. Tint shop quoted me $100 and decided to do it myself.
