• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What settings are tied to a driver?

For the life of me I can't figure out how which "driver" you are (as selected from the screen and has limited personalization in the setup) interacts with "user settings" seat position memory, which key fob and anything else. I was surprised to find radio presets seem to follow this, but there is nothing in the manual that I could find that discusses any of this, and my random searches of this forum were fruitless. How do all of those things interact, and how do I properly set them for each personality/driver? Thanks for any help you can provide!

The key fobs are not linked to a driver. When I drive after someone else has driven my car, I press the ‘1’ button on the door, and choose my driver profile on infotainment screen. I know at that point that my car’s environment is as I like it (except the rear view mirror and seatbelt height), though I couldn’t give you an exhaustive catalog of all those settings. HTH

Thanks - that answers a number of questions I had - I no longer have to worry about which key fob, and know that seat position is independent of "driver". I guess with time I'll figure out if disabling wireless charger and the hundreds of other settings are "driver" dependent or not. I can't believe that isn't outlined in the various manuals as it seems like the most basic thing to know.

You’ve got me kinda curious. I will try to note differences when I remember to.

I know when I switched from "Guest" profile to a new profile set to myself, I had to:

-Reprogram radio presets
-Re-select my phone in bluetooth settings (it's already in there, paired, but unchecked for the new profile)
-Re-set automatic ventilation preferences
-Basically readjust settings on the center screen that I'd already adjusted. It appears anything in the instrument panel that's set via steering wheel remains intact (driver assistance settings/distance/beeps, etc).

Seat memory profiles and the UVO head unit profiles are not tied together at all.

Seat memory profiles are tied to things like:
  1. Cluster brightness
  2. Exterior mirror position
  3. HUD height
UVO profiles are tied most settings in the radio and nav settings as arattle mentioned above.

Thanks everyone! It is starting to sort of make sense :D

I also notice inside a profile setting there is an option to link to UVO account, but I am not sure how to do it and not sure how that works neither. I thought UVO is already linked under UVO setting?
