  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just got the exciting email from Roger at Murray Kia that my Telluride should be in by 11/20! What can I expect at pick-up? We live two hours away so just trying to anticipate what the process will be like and how long it will take.

I ordered 8/2 and have basically just been waiting since then. Now that I know it’s coming soon I’ll go ahead and update my financing. Excited!

Just bring your check book if you're writing a check for down payment, old car title/keys if you're trading in, and your ID so you can buy the car. He'll send you a link to fill out a credit application online. No games with financing or anything else - you'll be out in 90 minutes or so. Just make sure to inspect the car and take it for a drive if you're so inclined.

Enjoy the new car!

Check tire inflation. They're normally overinflated for shipping/transport but you can bring along a pressure gauge to bring them more in line with 35psi cold if the dealership hasn't done so for you already.

Mine weren't overinflated, I assume Murray has that as part of their checklist - hopefully OP doesn't have to deal with that. But still good info to keep an eye out for.

Do all models have tire pressure sensors? If so, I've found they are very accurate.

I think so but I can't be 100% sure.

I know that I unknowingly drove around with tires at 43-45psi for about 70+ miles before I figured out the real-time tire pressure monitor (one of my favorite screens, along with the real time front-rear torque distribution screen) and corrected the inflation.

Just the typical additional expenses....
Window tint, nitrogen filled tires and wheel locks for $2,000. An extended warranty, for just an additional $5,000.

I'm kidding, but their finance department will probably try and sell you on extra services. Congratulations on your upcoming Telluride.

In preparation of my delivery, I printed off quotes from Carmax and Carvana and had them on hand with me to negotiate the value of my trade. I also found the literature on Muncie's extended warranty so I had that to show the finance manager that I would be happy to buy the warranty from them for Muncie's price.
Bottom line......be prepared. You can't negotiate those two things if you don't know what you are talking about, and don't have the proof to back it up.
Luckily, the finance manager knew about the Muncie pricing already, and I didn't need to haggle. The printed quotes for the trade also helped a lot. Made the whole experience super easy.
