• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I absolutely love the Heads Up Display (HUD). Would never buy another vehicle without it now.

I also like that the Telluride is still unique. I don't see many on the roads when I travel.

comfort and styling for sure. hard to narrow down but it is just a really enjoyable drive, everything is well laid out.

i also don’t think i could go to a non HUD now too, at minimum an electronic speedo/cluster

Blind spot indicators in the heads-up display. Absolute genius.

And I also will not buy another vehicle without a heads-up display. It’s amazing.

For me, the very best thing is that it's *exactly* the right size for my usage. I can haul two grandkids and a dog. Or go camping with another couple. Or carry around a bunch of camera gear. I don't get fatigued or cramped when driving it a long way (as I did with just slightly smaller vehicles). And yet, it's no so big as to be unwieldy or difficult to park. It has many other wonderful features and gorgeous design (along with a couple minor irritations), but the size is simply perfect for me.

Ummm......EVERYTHING!!!!

I hesitated to order the HUD (Prestige) after reading problems with cracked windshield which was not covered under warranty and expensive to replace due to the HUD. I guess it was a problem with early version and is now a non-issue.

Anyone has a pic of the HUD with displays?

thx

I think the HUD in combination with SCC/HDA is a game-changer. I use it on every highway drive. If they could enhance the HUD to include Waze turn-by-turn guidance (from AA or Carplay) as well as the steering wheel alerts for SCC, this would be amazing.

 I have never had a vehicle that is so adaptable, to the mood you are currently in.
So many options at your finger tips. From total automotive sensor domination, to free spirited driving, all by the touch of a few controls.😈

After seven months only issue I had to take to the dealer for was a headlight adjustment. Now no one is flashing me. This is a great vehicle.

  1. Smooth comfortable ride
  2. Quiet cabin
  3. Amber DRLs
  4. All the tech and features at an unbeatable price point.

Maybe I'm missing something in your post. The HUD imagery is actually projected from the recessed area on the top of the dashboard up onto the inside surface of your windshield, and is reflected back to the driver's eyes. There is no special windshield glass associated with the HUD. The images are crystal clear and the settings can be adjusted for color, clarity, and driver position. I was going to try to capture a photo without actually driving, but it wouldn't be much help without being in cruise and/or full-on navigation mode, where all the cool turn-by-turn instructions are provided. It also gives music and other vehicle info.

I was doing some research before deciding which suv to buy and ran into some reports on the windshield problems for the Telluride before joining the forum. I haven’t read one single post on here about the problem yet so I went ahead and select the Prestige option but regardless it was my initial concern. Below is the links where the problem mentioned,

HUD does, in fact, require a special windshield to aid in viewing the projection.

In the case of the Telluride, it is significantly more expensive than the non-HUD windshield for an SX.

This is all of the possible information that can be displayed on the HUD:

Thx. I currently drive a Mazda 3 that has HUD but the display is on a plastic panel that pops up when you start the car. There was complaints that it wasn’t as clear as other HUDs that display on glass. It works for me but I am just curious.

I don't have any other cars to compare it to, but I find the Telluride's HUD to be impressively clear. I have it adjusted so that it appears as though it's just hovering over my hood. For years I really assumed HUD was just a gimmick, but I've found it to be one of my favorite features on the Telly.
