When do you receive an order confirmation or VIN?

We placed our order via email with the dealership on August 9th, 2021. On August 23rd I reached out to see if there were any updates/information that I could track the progress of the order, and was told there were no new updates and they would let me know when they have further information.

Just wondering what the process is? I was told estimate 3-6 months to receive the car, but is 3-6 months from when I said "yes please order it", or is it 3-6 months from when the order actually goes through?

"Yes please order it," or did you actually put a deposit on it and get some type of confirmation? The actual dealer will have a better idea than us on the forum. How many KIA Tellurides are they getting per month, and how many orders are ahead of you?

First half 2021 Telluride sales were 72% higher than first half 2020......

I'm asking similar questions to the dealer I ordered from, but I am really pretty far away from when they told me to expect it. So I need to chill.
