If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... If I'm planning to order a '24 from a TX dealer, which may take 9 months for delivery, when should I get a financing quote from a credit union? Do I wait until I can get some confirmation that my vehicle is almost ready or do it before I put in the order?

You can pre-qualify with various lenders ahead of time, but you don't lock anything in until you actually buy the car.

You say 9 months? Figure on two months. KIA has really stepped up production for the Telly.

I waited until I had a delivery date and it was pretty set and not changing. About two weeks before it was expected, I contacted my credit union.

Actually I contacted my dealer finance office and asked for their best and then also told them of my credit union offer. They'd rather me finance through them, so they met (and beat) my credit union offer.

When someone pulls your credit for a car loan, you have several weeks where others pulling your credit for the same reason does not count against you.

Since rates change and I couldn't really lock in anything till the end, anyway, I just waited to do it all.

Worked out really well!

That would be great and hopefully true for the Jungle Green/Sage config that we're aiming for.

Thanks for the tip! Will give that a go!

It's a good idea to start exploring financing options early, even before you place the order. Contacting a credit union now can help you get a sense of their rates and terms. When your vehicle is nearing delivery, you can finalize the financing details. This way, you'll be prepared and can secure a competitive rate when the time comes.
