Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Depends on the dealer. They should be able to provide an estimate of how long it will take.

Pretty normal for me. I waited 2 months for mine to get picked up. Like ewren said depends on the dealer but I feel like for the most part it takes at least one round of allocations before it’s accepted. Only thing you might here is if there was an order someone backed out on that was similar to yours.
Failcat.com states the kia plant in Georgia is currently closed due to the chip shortage. Can anyone let those of us who ordered recently know if this has happened before and if there is a "typical" closure period? Thx

I've been watching since early July. The only other shutdown was for a day a few weeks ago. The expectation is for the plant to reopen tomorrow and for there to be new vins posted to failcat Tuesday. That being said, I don't think anyone here has inside information on Kia's factory parts situation...
