• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Which technology in the Telluride do you like, and which one's you dislike

I don't know about anyone else but if I try and turn the cameras on while stopped they do not come on (light lit on switch). That is not how my BMW or Audi worked. I could push the button if under a certain speed and they would come on. Not on my SX-P. I am still trying to figure out the quirks in the UVO system like Apple Play comes on to last played song on apple music (which is never use so silent) If I hit "Radio" or "Mode" it goes to FM then push again for XM, but now Apple Play has disappeared. I have set my favorite to go back to the Menu screen so I can select Apple Play and then Apple Play with weather shows. Now I have to slide that down or up to show the xm station playing. A lot of monkeying around while trying to drive. Not ideal! Maybe somebody knows a better way

It doesn’t explicitly say in the manual, but surround view monitor will only work while moving and under 10 mph. Or if you are in the reverse gear. If you take your foot off the brake pedal and press the button while in drive, SVM should work.

2.) I am still trying to figure out the quirks in the UVO system like Apple Play comes on to last played song on apple music (which is never use so silent)

Somebody else figured on this forum, if you go into your iPhone settings it is possible to disable so that it will not auto play music stored locally on your phone.

Settings>Music>Show Apple Music (toggle this off).

3.) If I hit "Radio" or "Mode" it goes to FM then push again for XM, but now Apple Play has disappeared.

Press and hold your Mode button on your steering wheel. You can set one of your configurable options to “Phone Projection”. Cycling through “Radio” button on the center console will not. Cycling through “Media” button on the center console will ONLY if your phone is connected via bluetooth or USB.

4.) I have set my favorite to go back to the Menu screen so I can select Apple Play and then Apple Play with weather shows. Now I have to slide that down or up to show the xm station playing.

If you are only using the favorite button to get to home screen to then get to Apple Carplay, you might as well set it to “Phone Projection” instead of home. Press and hold the favorite button (star button) on the center console, and select “Phone Projection” as the configurable option. Now pressing the favorite button will bring you exactly where you want to go.

Are you are talking about the split screen option when Apple Carplay is showing on the display? If you swipe through the split screen on the right to show the radio (or XM) screen that split screen should stay the same the next time you open Apple Carplay.

If you are asking how to disable the split screen this is done in the UVO settings when the phone is not plugged in the USB. Setup > Device Connections > CarPlay > then uncheck split screen.

Love the Head-Up Display, LED headlights, infotainment screen, rain-sensing auto-adjust wipers, cameras for parking/blind spot, etc.

I could live without the Auto-Start/Stop. I wish Kia could make it a spring-loaded locking button that I could push in and it could lock into place forever :)

Thank you I will give all your suggestions a try. I did check my phone and Apple Music is turned off but I will keep working on it. Thanks again

Even though I have not receive my Telly yet, I know that I will like the adaptive cruse control with lane keeping assist.
I wont use the rear occupancy alert. my wife wont use the lane keeping assist
Yes-hands down for me the Adaptive Cruise with LKA, it is impressive.

Features I use the most are Apple carplay, heated/ventilated seats, and 360 backup camera.

Features that could use improvement: blindspot warning volume is too loud for me (but dont want to turn off sound completely) and smart lift gate needs to have a bypass function when you want to keep the car locked but walk around the back of the car at home.
Aside from turning off the function, just walking past the rear of the vehicle doesn’t open the lift gate. I’ve noticed it beep once as it detects me, but I’m not there long enough for it to activate.

So I’ve had my Telly for about two weeks, and I’m in Michigan where it has gotten cold. Loving the heated steering wheel, and the heated seats work better than on my old Traverse. Unexpected fave is not tech, but I love the well area in the back! I love that the cover comes completely off. I rarely will need the third row for passengers, so keep that row folded down for Costco trips, etc. I took the well cover off and have it between the folded third row and the back of the second row seats. It’s out of the way, but available, and keeps things from sliding onto the floor between the second row seats. But that well! Perfect for keeping things from sliding at all! Roomy enough to hold a surprising amount! I love the keyless entry and being able to lock with just the press of that little button on the door handle. I love the auto tilt side view mirrors in reverse, and the auto fold when locked. And the night time illumination of the rear camera when backing out of my daughters curved, on a hill, with ditches on either side driveway is a game changer for me! My rear camera on my old Traverse was little help. These are just some of the things that I am particularly appreciative of in the first two weeks! Note, by Old Traverse, I mean 12 years old, so even common perks are a big upgrade for me!

I haven't tried it, but I understand that cargo well cover can also be stored inside the well itself. Haven't checked it out myself.

I read someone say that, but no, it doesn’t seem to. If it could, it would just fall in.

It does. I've done this. It must be completely empty, lift the cover, pull/slide it forward (maybe halfway) then the back of the cover will go down into the well. You can then slide it back. The cover doesn't go in all the way or lay flat, and it slopes down towards the back. Still good/helps to prevent things from sliding.

Ah, ok. I think I will leave it where it is, but if I need to put the third row seats up and still want some extra space, that is an option. Right now it’s a nice deep, flat space.

It can. Check out this cool video tip that breaks it down:

Does the cargo / well cover come with the vehicle normally? I didn't see it with mine.

This video refers to the cargo cover which is not included with the vehicle unless it is optioned with it (check your window sticker).

What was being discussed recently, though, was the board that acts as the rear floor and covers the hidden underfloor rear compartment (“cargo well cover”).

2020 SX AWD

Like:
Cameras in the side mirrors that go on when you use the turn signal.
Lane assist that almost forces you to use the turn signal instead of hearing the beeping.
Programed the star button to turn the screen off. This is especially helpful during night driving.
Text messages are read aloud while driving.

Dislike:
Never use the nav system and android auto is waste, it doesn't even show the map route that I've done on the phone. Nav from my phone with google maps.
Don't use the UVO.
Never use the sun roofs, they are always closed
Didn't need the tow package, cross bars, interior lighting. carpeted floor mats, which I removed and replaced with Huskie all weather mats. This all came with the vehicle and I would have never ordered any of them as I have no use for them.
When I crank up the auto temperature to 80+ it turns on the heated seat and steering wheel, as I programed it to, but it doesn't turn the cabin air to recirculate. This would help the cabin to heat up faster by taking the already heated air and reheating to desired temperature, not having to heat outside cold air to temp. I have to turn it on manually, but like that it goes off automatically after a certain amount of time so I don't die from lack of oxygen!

Very helpful video! Didn't know about the secret way to store the cargo cover!

Not only can you put a cargo cover in the well, but also the OEM cargo folding tray. When I have the third row seats up, I can put both in the well. I really like that.
The heads up display is awesome also.

Yah, what brues said. I was referring to the hard cargo well cover on the floor. It comes right off rather than just pivots up. I thought I read that it can actually be stored in the well.

That’s a good video, I never would have known that. However, that is the cargo cover, not the well cover I was talking about. The cargo cover is an additional purchase, not something that comes standard and I don’t have one. The well cover is what he lifted off of the floor and replaced. I love having the open well area, and the cover stores well for me between the folded third row and the back of the second row seats.

My last car was a 2004 and boasted a radio and a single CD player for technology. Living in a northern climate, I'm very pleased to have heated seats again! I like Lane Assist on the highway, and I really like the blind-spot/proximity warnings.

Forgot:
I dislike that the doors don't unlock when I'm near it, instead of having to press the button on the door! My previous Lexus NX unlocked when I approached it!
