Holy cow! We had sleet and snow Monday night. Today I ran an errand and two huge sheets of ice came off the top of an oncoming car, went airborne and one of them came down on my windshield. It was at least 1/3 the size of the windshield and it sounded like a bomb went off when it hit. I expected all that glass and ice to end up in my face! But the windshield held. No visible signs of damage anywhere. Scared the daylights out of me! Clean off the tops of your cars people!!

If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. Yes there’s nothing worse than seeing someone driving around with a clean window where the wipers go but a 1ft of snow everywhere else on the car cause they couldn’t take 2 mins to clean there car putting everyone at risk of a potential very dangerous situation. Glad the window held up for you.

Its actually a finable offense in PA to drive your car like that. It really is dangerous and you are very fortunate it hit you glass and no damage was done. If it was your front end, hood or roof, you would be seeing something damaged for sure.

Been trying to push this point in another thread about windshield wipers getting stuck because the uncleared snow will also cause the Telluride wipers to seize as well if too much gets caught in the wiper well under the hood. Message has not been received favorably by owners here though.
