• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... While cleaning my windshield I discovered the wipers do not lift to the "up" position, they only raise a few inches then hit the edge of the hood. Went through my dog eared manual, after only 2 weeks of ownership, and found a procedure for getting the wipers to raise up to a vertical position for replacement. Sort of a PAIN!

Probably have to put them in "winter mode" as is with certain cars

Yah i noticed that as well, for the location having winter season like here in Illinois, that feature in kia wiper is pain in the ass, instead of raising up at once , when having snow and clean it asap, then i need to go inside push start button and lift the wiper leveler, etc😣

Get used to it. This is becoming the new normal. I think it has to do with hood placement location for safety reasons.

It’s not just Kia. BMW and VW have been doing this for years and I think newer Toyota’s and Lexus models have wipers below the hood and require the service mode. Might have to do with safety and aerodynamics for noise and gas mileage.

Add Volvo to the list.
