Order to delivery time

I ordered mine on Dec 5th. Just checked with the dealer yesterday morning and it sounds like it hasn't been accepted into the Kia ordering system yet. :-( Our current lease ends in a few days but we did get it extended month to month for up to 6 months. Unfortunately the registration is up at the end of January so I am probably going to have to pay that too.

Hi!
You should try contacting your dealership as they should be able to give you an update on your order and possible VIN. I call my dealership periodically to get updates. I actually just called mine yesterday and they told me they will know by Saturday if my order was picked up this month.

Thanks! Yes, I contacted them yesterday as well and they told me that the build should start in the first week of January. So they are able to get a VIN in the early stages of a build? That is awesome. I had no idea.
 
Awesome! From what I was told, once your car is painted, that’s when the VIN is generated.

Awe, unfortunately there are many factors to how quickly an order will be picked up by Kia. I found this out with my own ordering experience. I ordered my Telly in October and it hasn’t been picked up yet. It may get picked up this month from what my dealer told me. I fortunately have some time left as my lease doesn’t run out until April. Hopefully your order gets picks up soon!

If you car is picked up by KFOS this month, your dealer will be able to have an initial ETA next week. You dealer won't have a VIN until the car is built.
 
They seem to get a copy of the sticker about 2-3 weeks before they arrive at the dealership. My dealer emailed it to me on a car that had what we wanted and we were good to go. Car came in 2 weeks later, ahead of schedule. I was also told that they were instructed by the corporate office that they can no longer take orders.
 
Yay!! Ordered August and finally picked up in KFOS for December. ETA of Feb 22. Any other Muncie customers get a happy email today?

Congrats! What model did you order? Mine was also ordered thru Muncie in the mid of Oct. Wish mine gets picked up in a month and a half!

So far nothing new, still waiting. I have no concern as well I don't need a car right now. It can suck when being informed "No Status". I think that is my impatience and I am working on that aspect of my life. Ah, a calm cool day will help, happy holidays everyone.
