  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Can one of the staff members or forum managers explain the difference between a profile post and a conversation? It appears to me that a conversation is private. When I look at profile posts I see member discussions and in some cases I see personally identifiable information like full names, phone numbers and email addresses in conversations that I was not part of. It may make sense for a salesperson at a dealership to use the profile posts to share contact information, but some forum members may think that the profile posts are a DM like the conversation.

Hi there. Profile posts can be seen by other members. Conversations cannot.

And profile posts require a login? Are they searchable through google like regular posts?
