Having 2nd thoughts on my interior color. My order got picked up by Kia last wk. Is it too late for me to change the interior color?

2021 SX Limited Nightsky ebony black with black leather interior (no nappa) ordered on November 12th from Orangeville Kia in Ontario Canada. Allocated with a VIN# on December 10. Car arrived in Canada on December 30th. Was delivered to the dealer on January 5th. PDI and hitch install starts today. Hopefully pick the car up this week.

Pick-up happened this AM, January 11, 2021. Was the most seamless order and delivery process I have ever been a part of. Team at Orangeville Kia did a great job - special thanks to Ryan and Julie! There was a little nick/scratch on driver's side window trim and a replacement has been ordered. Drive home was awesome. The Telluride replaces a Honda Odyssey for our family.

From which to which color are you thinking of switching? Just curious.

Was thinking about switching interior from nappa gray to nappa dune brown. Mainly cause we have a 3yr and 9month old. We had them when we placed the order so I don't know why the sudden chg of heart.(this is mainly coming from wifey. I'm good with gray but do prefer black headliner). But its too late, can't chg the order now. I can either place another order and wait another 5months or see if they have a similar car coming in that someone pulled out of.......Just going to stick with what I ordered. If wife doesn't like it when she sees it, then we can look at our options.

1. Do you ask the dealer how many orders are in front of you?

2. How do you find out if it's been accepted into KFOS?

3. Does the dealer contact you once your order is given a VIN?

3. I'm assuming they will, havent reached this part yet. But I chk failcat daily. You can chk your dealerships allocated vin.

Just ordered this past weekend. Dealer said about 6 months. They were allocated (or at least VIN made) 22 Tellys in the last 45 days. Just needed to know where to get answers once I get to the 3rd-4th month of waiting

So, I called my dealer every month to see if my order was excepted. My order was picked up by Kia last month and due for delivery in March. There is nothing wrong with checking on your order since it’s a big investment.
I’m not sure if the dealership calls to let you know the VIN is available, so I’m checking failcat.

Your dealer should be calling you every month. Mine emailed every week. It's called customer service. You are the customer, you are the one spending $40-$50K . They should be trying to keep you happy.......and informed.
