If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... After owning a Honda Odyssey for the past five years my wife is ready for something new. She likes the Telluride and I'm coming around to it too. I like to research cars so I've watched 50 videos on this SUV but I know I'm going to have questions. My plan is to order a Telluride from an out of state dealer, fly out to pick it up, and road trip home in the new Telluride so I'll be looking for the best dealership within 600 miles of Salt Lake City. Right now we are leaning toward an EX in Dark Moss with the Nightfall package and black leather. The one thing I wish this Kia had was an option for a darker headliner and maybe Homelink in the EX. Looking forward to being a part of this community!

Welcome; you can DIY a Homelink mirror if you are inclined. Someone here posted about buying a Kia Forte homelink mirror and installed it on their Telluride and it worked perfectly.

Kia of Muncie, Indiana sells under MSRP, but if you are limiting yourself to 600 mile limit, I've seen some CO dealers selling at MSRP. You can start by calling dealers in your area and get general pricing. Plug and play homelink mirror can be installed at reasonable pricing and if you can figure out wiring, you can DIY universal ones for under $100.

Don’t worry about the darker headliner- I thought the same thing. You don’t even notice it. It’s actually a nice contrast.
I previous had 2 Honda Pilots (Touring)- You and your wife will love the Telluride!! Negotiate the accessories before you pick it up. I made the mistake of ordering everything ahead of time so it was in the car when I picked it up in a different city. Two days later I got a 15% off all accessories for my Kia Telluride. Mine was over $50,000!
Made me mad- When I called them out on it- they would not give me the discount. FYI

i25 Kia just posted their incoming inventory. They have quite a few at MSRP.

welcome @OgdenMike , don't know if you were considering the Premium Pkg on your EX, but if you were, then the difference to jump up to the SX is only about $3k - the door is then opened to the desirable Butterscotch leather + black headliner option

Thanks for all the responses! I'm learning a lot already. After seeing the dark headliner with the butterscotch on this forum, I think I'll go that route. So now I'm looking at an EX Premium Dark Moss with Butterscotch and I'll add the homelink down the road and probably go with the Weathertech mats.

I'm still about 4-6 months out on making a purchase. I've gotta pay off my Rubicon first and allow time for extensive research which is my favorite thing about buying a new car! I'm wondering when the new Kia logo will make it to the Tellurides as well. Probably with the 2022 model year.

To get Nightfall on an EX you need to get the Premium Pkg so consider EX-P the baseline of your features.

Are options such as crossbar and side steps considered accessories?

Yes, but remember if you purchase after the fact and don't install yourself, the dealer will charge labor on those installs so the 15% off coupon may not quite be what it seems.

Welcome! I've been driving an Odyssey for 13 years now... Decided it was time to switch to an SUV and my choice ended up being the Telly. I spent most of last year researching SUV's and finally placed a deposit on one in Aug 2020. Just got my VIN this week and due date is 3/4! I really enjoyed researching all of the different SUV's out there and comparing/contrasting them... I generated a lot of spreadsheets, LOL...

But am glad that I chose the Telly. We test drove everything and the Telly is the best "pound-for-pound" SUV for the price/value/features/looks, etc. My wife is still not 100% sold but she will be once she rides in it. I know she will love it, like I do...

Glad to hear you did your research and landed on the Telluride. For us, this SUV just has the look that we like and we’re lucky that it just happens to be an awesome value and a top-rated vehicle.
