Truxx Lift with Self Leveling Shocks

Nothing new from Truxxx yet. Still waiting on my Tucson extenders from Russia, also ordered a random set of extenders from Speedway Motors that will be here next week. Finally started driving it regularly last couple of days and love it.

The concern for me isn‘t a sag. I haven’t noticed much sag, but i can’t confirm this as I typically park at a slight incline. My concern is that the rear shocks are extended approximately 2 inches further away than designed, making me think that mechanically that should be corrected before long.

So far I love the stance. Took it to the dealership today for another alignment and both the shop foreman and sales assistant we’re telling me how much they loved the look. Will provide updates once I get a chance to try out the extenders. If they don’t work I will keep looking, but ultimately the only direction it will go in the future is up!

You have good taste. That's what I put on mine . I'm going to continue to monitor this thread. Maybe it's me but after a few weeks since the install, I'm starting to notice a little bit of sag in the back on mine as well. I had Les Schwab install mine down here in Denver and if there's a remedy to the problem, I'll go back and work with them to fix it. Interesting to note, my buddy loved the set up so much on the Telluride that he ordered the exact same Toyo tires and lift kit for his Honda Pilot. I'll keep an eye on his set up for any sagging issues.

I had another conversation with Truxxx regarding the self-leveling shocks. They said to give them a call at 855.668.0541 to discuss and they can help you out to make the proper adjustments.

Update: I just called and spoke with Robin at Truxxx. She's helped me earlier this year to track down my shipment when it was delayed. I described what some of us are running into with the sag and she let me know that Darren is currently fabricating a solution and that they would, "...take care of you." Sounds like she was aware that three of us were running into issues and while she didn't point any fingers at all, she said they were curious why such a small % of people have encountered this issue. It's been pretty cold for them up in WA lately so they haven't been able to work on this as much as they'd like in the shop but she told me to call on Monday to talk about next steps.

I described what some of us are running into with the sag and she let me know that Darren is currently fabricating a solution and that they would, "...take care of you." Sounds like she was aware that three of us were running into issues and while she didn't point any fingers at all, she said they were curious why such a small % of people have encountered this issue. It's been pretty cold for them up in WA lately so they haven't been able to work on this as much as they'd like in the shop but she told me to call on Monday to talk about next steps.

Great news. I'd chatted with Darren by email previously and told him I was holding out buying the kit for a solution. Maybe I'll be buying sooner rather than later. Thanks for the update.

My Telluride is still on order.

Does lifting it 2" interfere with any of the navigation sensors or cause any other negative effects other than the sag issue?

Other than having it aligned, Does anything else need to be done after installation?

Nope. I haven’t noticed any sensors affected at all. Alignment is the only thing needed.

Any updates? Have you heard anything from Truxxx? Did any of the extenders arrive and, if so, did they work?

The extenders did arrive earlier this week, but weather has been pretty bad so I haven't bothered to try just yet. They look to be a potential fit just by eyeing it. Weather is supposed to be better this weekend and I will give an update by Sunday night.

Was your spider-sense tingling? I literally just got back from having mine adjusted at Les Schwab. Long story really short, this week I had Darren, the owner from Truxxx and my contact at Les Schwab Tires who did the install, and me all on one email going back and forth to discuss the install, and diagnose the issue.

"Since we are figuring this out remotely, I have to ask the simple questions first...if you are not 100% sure of an answer, please don't make one up, it can be a number of things and i would like to solve the problem for you" is how Darren started our email chain. Really impressive customer service from Truxxx if you ask me.

I was down in the rear way more than what should be physically possible. From the bottom of the front tire to the wheel well lip measured 34 1/4". The back was 33 1/4". Darren thought with this being a load/speed sensitive system, the shock is compensating for something. It was not something major, but a minor adjustment or torque setting. So Les Schwab went in and adjusted/rechecked the sway bars, etc and I had my car back after two hours.

Now I am riding level once again.

The thread pattern for the shock extenders is spot on and provides about 1.2" to add to the shock so it isn't as overextended. This has been the only part that I found to fit. I am not sure how well they will hold up or if there is any worry for damage.

I have been following your post and I went to talk to a very good 4 wheel drive shop local here and they said the do a lot of lift kits with trucks and SUV's with the Nivomat system all they do is get longer Nivomat censors and install them then after the lift kit is installed the go back and adjust the censors to make up the difference. just something just wanted to share this info with you and see what you think take care Barry

COS wanted me to buy the lift from them for a total with install of $875 even though I told them I already had the lift. So, I'm bringing it up to Dillon on Thursday.
