• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Kia Infotainment Technology: Sounds of Nature

Rainy day—-put it on smart cruise control, lean the chair, and take a nap while on the stretch of I-80 heading west...it’s really just a straight shot. 😎

I keed, I keed 🤓

Early voting leaves us currently with a four-way tie after four votes:

Calm Sea Waves, Snowy Village, Rainy Day, and Warm Fireplace all tied in first place with 1 vote each.

Yay! :)

So I’m guessing my S doesn’t have these sounds since I’ve never found it 🤷‍♂️

It doesn’t. It’s just on models with the 10.25” display.
It must be a 2021 feature. My 2020 doesn’t have it.
If you have a 2020 EX or SX (and many early 2021 EX and SX models, too), your Telluride didn’t come from the factory with the software version that has sounds of nature. The only way you’d have it is if you did the navigation update yourself at update.kia.com or ordered a USB stick with the update from Mapnsoft.

Update: 11 votes in.

Everyone else who has Sounds of Nature, please vote! :)

My stats professor mentioned something about a minimum sample size to get a normal distribution.

Let's do this!

So far:

5 votes for Rainy Day
2 votes for Calm Sea Waves

the rest of the sounds are currently 1 vote each.

Just FYI: I voted for Snowy Village. It both calms me down to hear snow crunching under feet, but then it creeps me out by adding a kid laughing which brings out Overlook Hotel / The Shining vibes.

Calm Sea Waves is nice too.

I need to try Rainy Day and Fireplace and Forest again too :)

How can I disable sounds of nature? audio defaults to this upon ignition and I have to manually switch media sources each time.

the snowy village is a bit of a reach. Really, how much sound comes out of a empty snowy village?

It's clickbait.

It's the sound of snow crunching under one's feet as one walks through an unplowed snowy field toward the snowy village :)
