• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2021 Map N Soft Update

🤖 AI Summary

No AI summary has been generated for this thread yet.
I just took delivery of my 2021 SX-P, which has either ver 14 or 14.5 already installed. I don't know if it was sent from the factory like that or updated by the dealership, but I take it as a good sign that other new arrivals will come with updated software.
If you don't mind, would you verify the exact version? I will be picking up in few weeks and not sure if I need to bring a update usb or not.

It’s most likely going to be 14.0 (map version 13.41.xx), since it’s only been about two months since 14.5 (map version 13.47.xx) was released. 2021s were shipping with 13.5 (12.47.xx) over four months after 14.0 was released.

Either way, it is certainly not something that would necessitate taking an update USB to the dealer at delivery. If you want (or even need) to update it, just take care of it later. It’s not something you want to be messing around with when you should be enjoying your new car. 14.5 is a purely map update over 14.0, there are no other new features.

Since it takes 20-60 minutes for the update, I am looking to update it while I bring it home. :)

Yes, it's version 14.0. My build date was listed as September 29th for reference. Hopefully they are all updated now, as I find it irritating when a simple software update can't make its way into production.

Anyone know anything about v 15.0 being released in mid April? Did we get our 3 way screen back? What other improvements?

The mapnsoft website still doesn't have a list of changes. I would guess we won't know until the April 12 release date.

I did the update and the KIA Nav now gives the locations of most of the darn speed cameras in NYC. However, it would be more helpful if it alerted you before you pass the camera and not after you pass it.
Well at least you know if you got a ticket before it arrives in the mail.

Is it an official date? Would be a worldwide release?

I don't know, but obviously in Korea they have already enabled this feature. I've no idea if this will be the case for the rest of the world too.

Don't get your hopes up yet. Some H/G/K in Korea offered built in cam as an added option and this update would be for those models. As noted on the instructions, "Do not use the navigation USB port but use the dedicated built-in cam USB port". Which Telluride does not have.

I posted this in another thread. The 2022 Stinger UVO app provides a life feed from the 360 cameras.

Good. Previous UVO for Stingers were useless. Although not the same as dash cam, I am not sure if that feature can be added as a software update for Telluride either. It's possible that UVO feature can be added to future MY, but built in dash cam feature will not be added to USDM models due to legal issues(so I hear).

Thank you! Could you please post some pictures of the UI?

And the audio screen? Still have those stupid vacuum tubes? Is it still purple? Thanks!

Just a heads up that the next version of the Telluride software is supposed to be released next week; last article I saw said on April 19th.
